About the mlg show, I don't get why they give the guy such a tiny screen. I mean playing console on that small monitor must be a nightmare. most console players, including me, don't like huge screens.. Yeah. I only play on a 26" LCD TV. I hate playing on anything bigger. Why is that, out of curiosity? I can't stand playing on something that small on a console. On PC, I'm totally comfortable with 22"-24" but that's because I'm right up close to it. Anything other than FPS/fighting games a big screen is fine. Otherwise there is too much input lag. I play CoD competitively on Xbox and a low input lag is a must have. I play up close to a 22" (my PC screen as well). As i said before it simply looks better as well. TV's have massive upscaling ect. If you're just playing for fun ect there is nothing wrong with a bigger TV. Everyone plays CoD for fun, you can't play CoD competitively. I use a 37" and it's totally fine, aslong as you arent sitting in you tiny room and you actually have some space a big TV is great. Low input lag or whatever doesnt make a difference, only in your mind maybe. Sorry but i disagree. If you don't think you can play cod competitively fine. I don't play retarded MLG variant rules. We play much like the PC players do. You can look at it how you want it doesn't affect me. There is lag and it is very easy to feel when switching from a HDTV to a monitor. Everyone who's done it will agree. No reason to doubt something that is 100% a fact. Ask anyone who knows about it. Starcraft players are very ignorant towards other games competitively, especially console ones. Starcraft is the most competitive game there is sure, doesn't mean you need to be an elitist about it and put down any other game. Big space/TV = fine for casual gaming and games like RPG's ect. Monitor = FPS ect. Don't question it if you don't know the facts/haven't tried it yourself. Didnt mean to sound elitist, i just dont think you can play CoD competitively. Unless you think camping with a UMP is competitive.CoD is a fun game, but hardly think you can call it competitive. I've played CoD quite a bit, and i dont mean to put down the game. Games like CoD/WoW are only in MLG because they are so popular. People try to force these games to become competitive, without realizing that they arent really suited for it. IMO WoW I agree, but any shooter game you can play competitively, as long as its balanced on both sides (not maps, the races/sides)

Also I think he mentioned he liked the simplicity of using your real name/getting it known like a Jaedong among other examples.

His reason being that people mispronounced "nony", saying "Nony" instead of "Noo-nee". Unfortunately, everyone is still mispronouncing Tyler as 'tye-ler'.

I would like to see Tyler crush Idra like he did in TSL 2.

Sorry for being harsh i'm use to defending it. Without going into further detail and to end this here i'll just say we don't play with perks/guns like the UMP is banned ect. Check out PC promod - thats what we shape it to be more like. CoD shouldn't be at MLG in the form that they play it - it's really stupid and as you said not competitive at all. MW2 was also a terrible game unfortunately - Black Ops looking much better.
Anyway back to the SC!

No, he said in an interview he liked people in the BW scene with the name "Jaedong, or Sangho" or whatever, so he just went with Tyler, it sounded nice he liked it enough to switch.

I was away the past 90min; did I miss any great games?

On November 07 2010 02:53 Lylat wrote: Is Axlav good ? .. He's in EG so I assume he got some skills :p Hope Nony will make it anyway He's hit or miss. Sometimes he plays really impressively, pulling off strategies that shouldn't work but he forces them to work somehow. That's not to say he can't play a standard game, he can. Other times he just dies.

How come according to the original post, the winner bracket's game start later, yet Ret vs LzGamer already happened, and now NonY vs Axslav?
