His TvT is strong, and Foxer's isn't that great. Further, Foxer's cheeky super-fast expos and all-in aggression won't get him anywhere against someone as solid as ITR.
I also don't understand why more people don't get behind ITR here on TL - he's a solid old BWer (as are his opposition I know), it's great to see him come out of retirement and be so gosu in a new game. Ok, he had one disappointing finals ... people are being SO harsh on him for that.
He dropped the ball, but FD brought out a new kind and level of Zerg play that tourney. But to hear the State of the Game and some posts around here, it's like ITR is a disgrace to the game for one poor match. Jesus guys.
The way he has been playing this tourney though, he is just solid as a rock.
It is complete nonsense to claim that he was gimmicky or cheesy vs Genius. I was rooting for Gen, I really was, but ITR's play was flat-out better. He was all over Gen, and Gen was making mistakes like a rookie, esp those last 2 games. Blink-stalker hidden tech rush blind? Who was the gimmicky one? Silly use of the voids in game 4, and no map vision at all with a naked third? Cmon.
My bet is an ITR vs RealBoxer final. i don"t know where you got that expression. Have you seen him play any substantial amount of games to conclude that his TVT is weak? Every opponent of Foxer should be worried since his metoric rise never gave opponents a chance to Study and understand his play , same with ITR.
A lot of these top guys have been battling it out on the KR ladder for the last month, i'd bet they know a whole lot more about Boxer's play than you might realise. They are probably scared of his play too, much like with NexGenius in the last GSL, people (foreigners who watched hardly any of his games) wrote him off despite plenty of the Koreans being intimidated by him and his dominance on the ladder.

ITR all the way. hate fakeboxer's play style so much.

HopeTorture's Play will remain too solid for Foxer, in a best of 7. I'm guessing 4-2
|
I'm for FoxeR all the way, regardless of HopeTorture's play. Also with the free name change that came out today will he still be BoxeR or will he change it?
|
I think ITR will earn the respect he deserves tonight.
ITR 4-2.

FoxeR fighting!!!!
I'm also up for a BoxeR v FoxeR EPIC final!!
|
Debating whether I should wake up at 3am to watch this when I have an 8am class.
If Genius would have advanced 100% i'd be watching but a TvT where ITR will likely dominate because of pure mechanics in a very mechanic-based MU, idk if it's worth it.

I enjoy Foxer's style and I look forward to seeing him get far in many gsl's to come, but I have to favor ITR for this game and probably the whole tournament. His play is just so solid I don't think FoxeR's aggressive and tricky playstyle will work against ITR. He promised to take the whole thing after he lost to Fruitdealer last season and to me it looks like he's going to do just that.

I feel like this should be "Semi Final A" rather than ro4 day 1.. Foxer fighting!
|
I like Foxer's style but I think ITR is going to win. 4-2 ITR.
|
Hoping for Epic games, the winner i dn't mind both guys i like... gl hf ppl

Too risky to vote for Foxer here, he hasn't played a TvT in the tournament while HopeTorture has owned this tournament only losing to a macro zerg, the opposite of an aggressive Foxer.
|
hmm I don't know.. People began to write off EllenPage in the Ro32 against Fruitdealer, and look what happened. Then the same thing happened in the Ro16 against SangHo.
But then again, I haven't seen Foxer in a TvT. I still hope for a Foxer vs Boxer Finals though.

Actually, there now are PlayXP bets, and the XLBet odds changed, too:

Junkka gonna 4-0 this shit.

SO STOKED. 2 more hours.
I think it's going to be pretty close, ITR is solid all around and we haven't really seen BoxeR's more "standard" style of playing in terms of every other Terran..
I expect a more solid, normal kind of game but who knows?
FoxeR Fighting!
