Yes. They haven't made any effort to increase their StarCraftian knowledge since I complained about this very thing on like day two of GSL 1. They had no idea HopeTorture was freaking IntoTheRainbow until they saw his face. It took me one barely skimmed news post to figure that out.
They're good casters and funny people, but JESUS.

Right, and a person with a high intelligence quotient is somebody with a high IQ, a standardized measure for intelligence has nothing to do with it.

If I have to choose some players Id say its between Morrow, Ensnare, Hopetortur. Clid, TLO and Top. I think any of these could in a few months actually deserve that title (maybe not morrow since hes going zerg :p) and do not forget about Nada and BoxeR, We havnt really seen what these guys are made of in SC2 yet, no offense to morrow but i really don't think he can be placed in the same echelon as ensnare, thestc, ITR, clide, or any of the top terrans we're seeing from korea/gsl. after chatting w/ grack fields on this very issue, i'm sure he agrees.
Maybe you are right, I havnt really seen any games with morrow as of late but considering his earlier wins against players like Idra (grack) that is certinly one of the worlds top players (zergs) I atleast think he THEN could have been considered one of the worlds top terrans. Unless the win against Idra was a fluke or Idra playing poorly, I think neither of those stands true though.
But I must say I so look forward to actually seeing the top players from US/EU going over there to qualify. Sure some have tried but besides TLO the actual top has not. Would love to see players like Select, Huk, Dimaga and Morrow take the plunge!

People underestimate MorroW sooooo much. They saw him win with reapers at IEM and write him off as an "abuser" or something... And because he beat idra he gets so much hate. How people can think that HUK has a chance at GSL, and not MorroW, is nothing but fanboyism/hate. this is teamliquid man fanboys are crazy . I do think morrow is a good player but lately I'm not really sure. He's in high school now and he said he was switching to zerg and the play I've seen from him lately hasn't been that strong. I think if he was out of high school and was dedicated to one race he would be a very strong player like he was around IEM.

thing is, huk does actually perform at big tournaments whereas people don't get to see much from morrow at the moment

I agree, people underestimate Morrow MASSIVELY for some reason.

Korean server, b.net doesn't go down until off-peak hours in the wee early morning.

what did he beat them in? ladder games or a tournament? not that it really matters for the argument, just curious if i missed some tournament.
