thats why the gsl will be ridiculously hard to win this time around. If I had to bet, most foreigners wont make into the final 64 unless they are like tlo and have been seeded already.

i guess its 3 matches to win to qualifify unless they changed to 4 matches to win.
Its either 4 qualify per bracket or just 2.
edit: so many freewins, so hardly nobody show up T_T

@puppy
Hopefully Artosis might do his own work like he did in S1

nobody gets seeded into the tourney, everyone has to qualify again. Its an open tournament.

so gomtv says jang jae ho is into this, aka moon from wc3. Really interested to see how he fares, afaik he was still contracted by wemade to play wc3.

Matching Iron's name in TLPD to the brackets it seems he won his first match 2-0, and he is in the lower part of the bracket with Idra in the upper part so they will not meet in qualifiers.
To anyone who can actually read Korean can you confirm that Iron is 56 in the first column? (28 in second)

I thought I read that people were coded as A and S class players who were seeded into the next tourny? or is that just the year end tourney?

Just read some stuff, it is indeed the two who make it to the finals of each bracket advancing to the Ro64.

First three GSL are open without seeding. After this for the first GSL of next year, players will be given a seed based off their performance in the first 3 GSLs and this will seperated them into S and A class.
This makes progressing a few rounds in the first 3 Open GSLs very important for future tournaments.

Last time was 4 games in a row, with a lot of partially empty brackets. So it looks like registration has about doubled.
