It seems to have potential to push back the infantry support for a tankline, if you initiate engagement with it (may be quite risky though given the range). Unfortunately, the seeker missile that silver used against the infantry ball was after the fact during that engagement near the watch tower.

Looks like an identical 111 so far. Fenix's rax is a little later than Silver's, Silver tech labs his rax.

Reaper heading towards Fenix's base.

Ignore what I said, they switched colors. It's Fenix's reaper.

I think the problem with Silver is he is not getting better. But when you have, what, 0 teammates that can't help.

HSM could have been really effective there, as it drove the medivacs and marauders away from the tanks, giving an opening where Silver could have bum rushed the tanks. However, he used that time to attack the rocks.

SOMETHING ABOUT THE PRODUCTION:

I think everyone can agree that the production level of this stream is actually no where near what we saw at Gamescom. Yes? Ok great.

Now let me tell you why.

ESLtv is based out of Europe. Germany even. So when there is an event in Germany, obviously they are going to be able to haul their entire production setup to the venue and bring a level of production that you expect out of the ESLtv studios.

This event is in New York. Obviously, that makes it much more difficult to match the same level of production when you can't just airlift your setup to NY. But what makes matters even worse, this even is being held at the Javits center. Having done nearly 5 events there myself, I can tell you that from a "streaming" perspective it is THE WORST venue in the world.

Why? Here's an example...

ME: "Oh shit I need this computer plugged into the wall so I can use it."
*begin to plug in computer*
UNION GUY: "WOAH BUDDY WHAT ARE YOU DOING???"
ME: "I'm just plugging in this computer?"
UNION GUY: "WOAH WOAH WOAH, that's OUR JOB, so you tell me what you need and we'll do it"
ME: "Ok I need this computer plugged in..."
UNION GUY: "OK I'll have someone on it in 20 minutes"
*2 hours later*
UNION GUY: "Done"

That may seem super exaggerated but I SWEAR to you it's not. The Union has to do everything for you in that capacity.

Now why does this matter?

Because to add additional elements like camera men, video/stage projection, audio, etc. you have to pay for a union guy to set it up, and run it. I spoke to some folks from ESL prior to the event and they told me that in order to recreate what was done in Gamescom would take an amount of money that didn't really make it worthwhile.

I'm not making excuses for ESLtv, they can defend themselves, however, I feel it's necessary to at least shed some light as to why the production level is no where near what it was at Gamescom.

I think we should be appreciative of the fact that we have a free stream to enjoy StarCraft2 matches on... cause it could be worse - there could be no stream. I would love to have all the things folks have suggested in the thread... but know that just putting a camera next to a player is much harder than you might think. And in New York, with the unions... it takes 20 people to make happen.

It sucks for players like silver, who have made a small name for themselves online, but now that lans and tournaments start to play out, and players are really grinding games and have set up practice partners and teams.., a lot of the names that we know from a month or two ago are starting to fall behind and be forgotten, while some are pulling ahead, as well as some new names. It really shows that silver is just really out classed here in this tournament.. I feel bad for him . Props for using HSM though...
