Isn't this a lan? even GSL they have a language barrier and still manage to let us know more about the players. This is the group stage. Stop whining, jesus. nah dude, they can just ask for more comps locally and im sure people would have helped out.. It's ridiculous to have a supposed large event like this and be so woefully unprepared / low quality. At least interview the players after, shit WHOEVER is running this, after the games have the winners go spend 2 minutes talking to day9 / gunrun. If just for new fans to get to know the players more, it helps a TON to have a human element. should have just ran it online if you wanted to only show casters. The NA IEMs have always been small. The location they are at (Comic Con) might be big, but it does not mean that the space they are given to work with is. Comps are provided by sponsors. Don't think sponsors give them over 9000 comps to work with. Sometimes, it's just not enough but they make the best of it. Running off to go buy a decent $500 PC is not going to work either. Live interviews would be nice, but if it's not possible with what they have to work with then there is not much that can be done.
This I was at ESL in Koln(Cologne) and the area was nice and setup but its not really huge!! Still it is nice. GSL area didn't look huge imo either.

Lower production value = more prize money for the players? =P
Also, how many of you actually spent the money on the HQ stream?

The free stream is more impressive in quality then i expected ^^

The production quality might not be up there with GSL for example. But the stream is so damn great. To me it looks like its nearing 50-60 fps. Really smooth stuff. So I won't complain, although I wish we could see some interviews and crowd footage.

Bear in mind that the European IEM was held in Cologne. Coincidently the headquarters of Turtle Entertainment (ESL) are in Cologne, as well. So much more equipment and places and whatever were available for the ESL IEM Europe.
Just sayin'. That's what I believe makes this IEM looks "poor" compared to the European one.

Some people would probably refuse a free BJ if they didn't like the girl's shoes or something.

Someone please correct me if im wrong. Colossi do 15x2 Marauders have 1 armour non-upgraded so they take 14x2 28x4 = 112. Thus it takes 5 colossi to 1-shot marauders. If both are not upgraded. With +1, Colossi do 17x2 (16x2 effectively to armour 1). 32x4 = 128. So it takes +1 upgrade for 4 Colossi to 1-shot marauders. This is true, and probably also why huk researched +1 just before that push. It's true but it completely ignores the fact that all terrans stim right before they engage.

They've referred to the 'stage' a number of times with regards the giveaways, so there's some sort of presence. I'd like to see some visitor photos of the setup to appreciate how big or small an operation it is.
Post match interviews should only require Gunrun taking a break while they take place, and I am really surprised at the lack of a decent camera and poor framing. They look like they're in a cupboard, not a convention!
With regards the in game feed itself, it is stunning and top marks to whoever set that up

So for me the stream audio and video is slightly off. This results in insanely hilarious moments of TheGunruns' mouth continue to move after he has finished talking, resulting in me thinking that he is speaking an asain language and being dubbed over.
