Compared to who? HuK is already a GOOD player as many of the people participating here are. Great is something else which is probably what you meant. If your progaming you pretty much are good and not just a ladder champ. Great is something no one has achieved in SC2
Compared to the rest of the world, f.e Korea when he is moving soon. I had never consider drewbie to be a great player (but still really solid) and yet Huk's doing so many mistakes, his play is also gimmicky sometimes - f.e 4 warpgate robo off one base. Not mentioning bad collosus micro. I don't deny that Huk is a good player, but I still think, that he is more mass playing games, than being a pro player (and thinking).

It's fun to play, it's really lame to watch. Subjective opinion is subjective, of course.

I admit, I'd like to see a tech switch to Templar just to make the game more interesting (and I think it's stronger for Protoss overall), but I understand why Huk stuck with Colossi in an intense, high-pressure game with both players seemingly afraid to expand.
Really hoping SOMEONE busts out something crazy and unconventional (like Carriers, or mech TvP). I was really happy to see Thor come out in an earlier game, it SEEMS like it would be good against this Phoenix/Colossi style that some of the players are going for.

Isn't this tournament held at some comic-con? It's not a full blown tournament like the Cologne one. Can't expect GSL level organization.

i think fenix is gonna destroy everyone at iem

If you paid attention to game one of HuK vs Drewbie, HuK danced his zealots after that one good early skirmish LOL.

Don't think sponsors give them over 9000 comps to work with. Sometimes, it's just not enough but they make the best of it. Running off to go buy a decent $500 PC is not going to work either. Live interviews would be nice, but if it's not possible with what they have to work with then there is not much that can be done.

In the european IEM they had interviews and video feed of players, i guess we will get the same here soon.

I dunno, they are just trying to make it look a little too cool and exciting. I fucking love E-sports, but it's still just a bunch of nerds playing games. The shots of screaming fans with the epic music is just a little too much for my taste

I couldn't care less about what the players looks like, I'm here for sc2.

I'm in the boat with the other "production value is crappy" people. Seriously, they should at least be able to get one or two interviews between the games... have the players sit at the damn table the commentators are, if there really isn't a second camera.

Did you see quake live IEM cologne? I think it looked god damn awesome, and those guys really showed skills. If they put more players in the match it would have been less about skill and more about luck because of spawns etc.

Does anyone agree tanks could of played a slight factor in that match to lure in huk's forces? Vikings need to be used so precisely to maneuver those collasi.

Someone please correct me if im wrong. Colossi do 15x2 Marauders have 1 armour non-upgraded so they take 14x2 28x4 = 112. Thus it takes 5 colossi to 1-shot marauders. If both are not upgraded. With +1, Colossi do 17x2 (16x2 effectively to armour 1). 32x4 = 128. So it takes +1 upgrade for 4 Colossi to 1-shot marauders. This is true, and probably also why huk researched +1 just before that push.

This, I don't understand how you can spend all this time setting up a lan, flying people out, attaching large money to it. Then not spend 3 minutes figuring out how the cast will go, only having one computer, not interviewing/showing a single player. It just seems half arsed to all hell. Like put someone in charge who has some semblance of passion to get things done.
This is the worst lan event I've ever seen casted. Raelcun going to a random 50 dollar lan has better camera, stream, and coverage.

What time is Huk vs MurDer?

Yup production quality is indeed shit, its a shame really, with the way midway and the guys have been hyping up this event, zzzz...

Yeah, must be a mistake. Unless we missed something?
