I loved the fact that Rocky Lauboa got to the final and Sjow, the blind terran, didn't lose a single round even without scouting, continuing the domination from dsrack! Highlight for me was when they made the wow players leave the centre so the sc2 games could get more bandwidth ![]() p.s Smile, great job organising it and was nice to chat to you during the final, look forward to playing in the next one.

It would have been cool if there was a way to make it more spectator friendly but difficult in a small location like that, even just having the brackets up on the wall would have been cool. I guess they wouldnt want to encourage too many spectators i could see that place getting cramped fast! Cant remember who i was talking to, but they mentioned an event next april i think it was, in excel which apparently is going to have seating and a big screen and most importantly.... a bar!

It was a bit spectator unfriendly, I ended up just logging in and watching the stream to listen to commentary. Smile was saying that they are hoping to expand the trocoderro store to have over 8,000 square feet with an awesome stage and pods hopefully, really look forward to that!

Also was nice to meet TarQeS, rANDY, Stone and the members of my team who showed up. I think that was probably worth the trip anyway. ![]() Final thank you to my team captain Deranging who saved me from having to use a G15 all day because my keyboard didn't fit in my bag. <3

What an awesome day! Many thanks to all the players that came down for the finals - I know it wasn't easy for some of you guys to travel (myself included coming down from Manchester to run the event) but I hope you had a great day here in gamerbase! There were lessons which we've learned, some of which were a real drag on the day but we tried our best to rectify them when they became problems. These were mainly down to our internet connections and/or battle net issues - which were kind of out of our control. I'm still confused as to why random drops were happening as I haven't seen this happen before in my centre in Manchester or from London - perhaps our ADSL provider was tinkering with the lines or something, I have no idea. We're currently looking into installing leased lines to all our centres, so that should never happen again - and with a 10/10mbps connection we could run a kick ass HD stream ![]() ![]() So. Thanks once again for attending, congratulations to the winners - especially gamerbase regular Lau who played superbly! The winners were: 1st SjoW = £1000 2nd Lau = £500 3rd ZionLLL = £200 4th BlinG = £100 5th RememberMe = £50 5th TarQueS = £50 5th Gomas = £50 5th RazerBlader = £50 A pretty cool prize spread for our first event, this will get bigger as we gain experience running these events and pulling in some huge sponsors, because this game and this community deserves it ![]() Also... HUGE THANKS to dignitas/Apollo, and the rest of the dignitas team - who were a constant help thoughout the day. Shaun did an amazing job on the stream and really made it special - thank you for all your help, I hope we can work together again soon! Wooo! so happy it ran well and we finished on time ![]() chris aka smile
