There's a reason why that happens... and the very reason why it happens is why the match up fails to be exciting.

Someone explain to me how "best of 7, starting at 2-1" is the same as "HuK needs to win one best of 3 before Kiwi wins two best of 3s."
Hint: It's not.
If this happened, for example, the two formats diverge:
Kiwi wins
HuK wins
Kiwi wins (Kiwi wins first bo3 at this point, meanwhile it's 3-3 in the bo7)
HuK wins (best of 7 is over, meanwhile HuK would still have to win one more before Kiwi wins 2 more to take it via the real double elimination format)
