Well tbh the prizemoney is even lower than i expected, hardly higher than the Nordic EPS. The first place gets 3000€ and 50€ for each win.

At EPS Nordic the first place gets 2000€, which is not that much less. I wonder wether Naniwa knew this when he decided moving to Germany for the EPS.

If you ask me, the Nordic EPS is probably on par with the German one. SjoW/Naama/MaDFroG can surely compete with Demuslim/Naniwa/Socke/Darkforce(/Cloud if he finally starts playing good).

The games i've seen from EPS Germany so far were all disappointing. I really hope Cloud starts playing better, he's pretty damn good.

It doesnt matter about the prize money, its about the sponsor exposure, which is why these players play in the EPS. It is the most vital tournament for European eSports, even if other tournaments have higher prize pools.

This is why miou was sponsored by SK gaming for so long, he provided great results in EPS (won 5 in a row) which kept SKs sponsors happy allowing them to branch out to expensive Korean mercenaries.

The games from GSL are boring as well, hell sc2 is a boring game, that doesnt mean that this isnt the most important competition :p.

Anyway, i just thought that with SC2 there would be a bigger one (especially since it attracted 3 pro gamers from foreign countries to join Germany!), but it seems they're going safe and see if SC2 is actually worth more money or not. So yeah could be possible it will rise next year!

But ah well just some talking, i don't really care about the prizemoney it as i'm not a pro gamer!
