SIGN UPS CLOSED

All Sign ups are encouraged!

However: Due to the small player size and large pool of application please apply if you are in the top diamond league and or if you have prior high ranked tournament experience. The top players will be chosen and the rest have a chance to compete if chosen at random (10 players).

There are other great larger tournaments out there for everyone else for a list of those see the tournament section of TL, or check the tournament forum. Gosu Coaching hosts great large tournament's every week, check them out!

The games will be casted on: Ls Gamers.net

You can also choose to watch on TL @: LS Gamers Under Stream List

Or: check out the live stream: Nostalgiatag to watch the tournament as we get under way!

+ Show Spoiler +
Because there was some confusion on how the tournament was run last time here's the quick break down:

  1. Players must be online 1 hour prior to the tournament start time. As soon as both players are online the tournament organizers will contact you, invite you to game and document the winner.

  2. Not all games from the round of 16 will be casted but all Quarter Semi and Final games will be casted live on stream. These games will start at tournament start time.

  3. Games require a tournament admin to be in the game. This is to be able to save replays, determine winners due to DC's and settle disputes.

  4. All players are required to CONFIRM their place in the tournament. To do this check your email 2 days before the tournament. You will be sent an email telling you that you have been accepted and how to confirm your position in the tournament.

  5. Any players NOT confirmed will be replaced by a substitute.

This should provide us with a smooth tournament with hopefully little downtime. We want to keep it short, sweet and packed with action!

Yeah that sucks but it seems like there is something big every weekend unfortunately. Gotta keep the tourneys rolling though

Ive already got a large submission base so keep the applications rolling, id like to see more big names but i can understand if other tournaments are holding their attention.

Map Pool should be;

Blistering Sands
Delta Quadrant
Xel'Naga Caverns
Kulas Ravine
Lost Temple
Metalopolis
Steppes of War

First map Metalopolis because it seems most balanced map, loser picks next map.

I'd join unfortunately I have a local tournament to attend else I'd play in this. GL on the tourny.

Lost temple is a map that is imbalanced towards terran specially in TvZ because of the cliff one tank can 100% shut down an expo I would suggest a different map for the first games else you'll see a lot of terran/protoss

iccup maps instead of kulas/LT would be a nice benefit for zerg

fighting spirit i think is regarded as the best iccup, i wouldn't mind seeing in that.

I'd really like to see as many Iccup maps as possible. Exposure for these maps is only a good thing. Also zerg can't win on basically any ladder map. Iccup maps are a lot better for zergs.

I think they also lead to better macro games, which of course are better for spectators.

Edit: I'd really prefer if steppes of war were taken out. That map is pretty boring and isn't very good.

iCCup maps are a good idea, except no one is familiar with them. I would just use the ladder maps, but if you haven't implemented it already, a 2 map veto for each player would be really nice.

little short on people confirming their spot, may be reducing to a round of 16 rather than 32. Will still make a fun tourney, just makes it a bit faster

aren't there currently more than 16 people confirmed? you shouldn't just tell them they are out of luck. you could just make it 32 people, open signups back up, and give people without matches in first round byes.

"3. Games require a tournament admin to be in the game. This is to be able to save replays, determine winners due to DC's and settle disputes. "

what? with this many players, having to have an admin for every game is going to take all day and maybe still not even finish

unless there's like 8 admins or something this is not going to reasonably work, it would take too long i dont have time to wait for a couple admins to observe every single game

i cant even find my next opponent and it was supposed to start 17 mins ago and i cant contact admins
