Yes but the SC2 tournament isnt part from the WCG actually. So it isn't organized by the same people except for some stupid rules like the prize pool.
For the spectators, i don't know where you found that on the website...but it was confirmed to me by the tournament coordinator that it's possible and free.

If this is the same people who ran even in montreal before then it should be a lot of fun. I went to an event in montreal like 5 - 6 years ago and shared a computer with a friend that lived there. I came second in wc3 and they were so nice to give me a earlier prize ceremony because i had to catch a train back to toronto early. They allow spectators for sure, they only confirm that you paid if your playing in a tournament and as well as when getting a place for the computer. Its basically 45$ per computer.
I hope to see lots of you there, i'd love to see sc2 grow big in canada!!
BTW there's also a LAN in Toronto this Saturday. Its at a LAN cafe near Yonge and Finch. Already 10+ people confirmed going. Its mainly to meet and play for fun. A small tournament is most likely happening.

As long as at least one of my friends is willing to go I'm coming for sure. I've registered an account but haven't registered a place/paid yet.

arguable, since the best RTS teams ever to come out of Canada have all been mainly based in Quebec.. im talking XD's, Play, eGe. .. And dont forget the only non-korean to ever place in the top 3 of an OSL/MSL is from Quebec.
(and this, speaking as a french/quebec hater, even though I was in Play and eGe)

Where are all of you guys sitting, i'm trying to decide where to sit. I'm thinking near a washroom and away from loud ass cs players LoL
|
If anyone is going from Ottawa or driving through Ottawa to get there I would be interested in a carpool etc.
PM me if interested.
|
If you guys wanna sit near Kiwikaki and I, find the ROW E, we're in the middle of it pretty much.
But please leave the spot beside Kiwi blank, it is reserved for FredZ, if you take it we go somewhere else.
Cya there!

Do we have to pay for the dorms? How are they? Does anyone know?
