Alright so since beta ends in like 24-48 hours, Catreina and I decided we are gonna host a quick tournament to celebrate the end of beta! All ranks are welcome. We'll close sign ups in 12 am EST. Alright! So far 31 players guys! ^_^ This looks like its gonna be a fun tournament! So it looks like round 1 will be a BO 1. We are sort of hoping we can get more players, but since its last minute....you never know. XD
We are at 38 players here, which is a 6 round single elimination tournament. There will be 6 rounds unless we get more than 64 players, and the first two rounds will be BO1, the third, fourth, and fifth rounds will be BO3, while the final round will be BO 5 or BO7, depending on time. It will likely be BO5

Actually, I take that back, I did put software on my old pc to see what it would sound like - ON STREAM LIVE, and it was fucking horrible. HORRIBLE
Please try to refrain from trolling a tournament that was set up at the last minute for the benefit of the players, with prize support provided. Even if that prize support is minimal, it is still more than what would have been provided had we NOT done this impromptu tournament.

So I agreed to give him another chance regardless of the fact he was an hour or so late and he won fair and square.
But, at least I know what I've accomplished in this community was legit (the little that it was). You on the other hand need software to alter your voice to get brownie points from prepubescent, hormone raging teenagers.

I dont think he is an asshole... he complimented HER on her stream, but he did cruelly point out her episode that she had, which was funny, but completely unacceptable. It is something that does need to be addressed, but either way, its none of our business.

Don't drag her through the mud. She's the best toss player I've seen streaming in sc2. I get that she already banned you, and you can be upset if you chose to be. But every single time she's streaming, it's the first stream I notice and tune in to. A good player knows when the game's over. A better player learns from those games.
My sole concern was with her threatening to cancel a 64-player tournament over the juvenile antics of 1 person. That's out of bounds, and she needs to straighten up. I'd look forward to signing up for one of her tournaments once SC2 goes live, but not if it means spending 3+ hours getting through the lower brackets, for the tournament to be cancelled in the semi-finals because she had a psychotic break. That's it. Nothing more.
What the smeg is going on with all the drama? (Rhetorical question, I don't really want to know) Want more SC2, the one who is casting should really intervene more strongly and stop this confessional, I'd imagine the majority of random SC2 watchers don't care. That's not meant nastily towards anyone just that I'd rather be watching SC2.

Good job hosting this massive tournament. you know this is for "fun" the end of the SC2 beta. This is for everyone in the community it was a fun spur of the min thing with zero incentive other than pride. I feel for everyone's stress because of the incidents that happend today.

You need to chill man, I brought it up because to me someone who is marketing themselves it's important that the community know it is true. Whatever issue you have with Cat you need to take it off the public forum and deal with it on your own time.

Awesome turnout for something I was initially opposed to, thinking we wouldnt even get 15-20 players, and we get 64 and then some!

As for a monthly style tournament, as Tesla stated, we are looking at how we might be able to do this, but there is certainly nothing set in stone as yet. I am sure we will post on TL and other places when things are set.
Replay pack for the tournament will be uploaded once we get all of the games (that we can). We will have at least the finals, and the one match we cast in the semi- and quarter-finals in the near future for others to cast =)
btw - I never claimed to be a "pro" player. I think Terrans are OP (I am a toss 99% of the time), and I make very noobish mistakes more often than I care to admit.
I rage a little (ok, a lot) too much.
I am still trying to be an entertaining caster and player - you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can not please all of the people all of the time.

Thanks for hosting tournament, it was really fun! Next time use a better/easier bracket system and turn down the rage jets. You might want to avoid reading stream comments and responding to them, it just makes things worse.

Hmm..I'm not sure I would say funny. To be honest, I'd say it was probably one of the most stressful moments in hosting a tournament. Regardless, I am glad you enjoyed the cast.

Even when she says fuck, it just doesnt come out sounding normal, it sounds like it should be alot deeper but is altered. Well if you follow her stream everybody knows she is a lesbian and married to another female. The only thing most of us don't know is she really a girl or a trans. She/He does have kids. Either way, I can care less as to her/his personal life. I'm just throwing that out there.

Cat was just upset. Many people misunderstand how much crap she gets. I think people should try to be more understanding. As for a page, at the moment I cant really broadcast from my pc. It says I'm slowing the game down cause of an on board video card. XD I will try to start casting on my livestream soon though...even if the fps is really bad. I'm pretty sure that is what the problem is. Anyhow, ever heard of giving someone the benefit of the doubt? It means...give them a chance...believe them UNTIL THEY prove that they dont deserve the chance. She has yet to prove she doesn't deserve a chance. So just...give her a break, please.

Well if you follow her stream everybody knows she is a lesbian and married to another female. The only thing most of us don't know is she really a girl or a trans. She/He does have kids. Either way, I can care less as to her/his personal life. I'm just throwing that out there.

Exactly. It DOESNT matter. Thank you. ^^ I just want to make sure that people give her a break. She is trying very hard to work on letting things NOT get to her. She also wants to be able to do commentary in the future but you all need to relax alittle and give her a break. Try to be understanding. After all, sometimes all we all need are people to be alittle understanding and supportive. With that, I have to go and cook dinner. So please no more trolling guys.

We dont have them all but we have some of them. So we will try to get those out soon. However the Cat and I have talked. We do plan to do a tournament once a month but you will have to tune into her stream about that.

YenTwoKay - I deleted the videos because of other reasons - I just happened to remove all archives because it was time to move on.
I am not surprised that people got recordings of it, and honestly, I am not upset about it. It is good that this will keep popping in my face. If nothing else it will keep the stupidity of my actions during that part of the tournament fresh in my mind.

Catreina, any idea when these monthly tourneys will be? Can I make a suggestion for Sundays?something regular like the last Sunday of each month?? I would love to participate in all of them, but sometimes when I hear about a toUrnry (such as this one) Its too late.

However, if you present yourself (or a large percentage of your audience believe that you present yourself) to be something that you are not, you destroy your credibility and lose the respect of the community.
Post a video congratulating the winners and thanking the contestants for participating. It provides evidence many things, including your professionalism.

nooo, make it an hour and a half later and i can compete, i get home at 11:15pm est every night puh puh puhleaseeee (there are A LOT of spectators late at night, i get a lot in my stream, it being on TL and having less OTHER streams going will bring you more traffic)

yesss. it wont affect the traffic or the size of the tourney at all, most tourneys are early in the day, peopel will enjoy seeing live commentating and tournaments late at night :D

Ok...So Cat and I talked about it. Future tournaments - Sign ups will start early, however the tournament it self will not start till around 11 - 11:30 pm EST. ^^ So make sure to tune in and drag your friends along!
