The Green Forest E-Cafe LAN is fast approaching, and it's time for the online qualifier to be announced! As stated in the previous thread, the qualifier will feature 64 players, with 32 advancing to the LAN Finals, which will be held on August 14th-15th 2010 at the Green Forest E-Cafe.
There are currently 16 groups with 4 players each - the top 2 will advance from each group to the next stage (and qualifies you for the LAN final). Without further adieu, here are the groups:

Format: Round robin, BO3 each match, start map: Metalopolis, loser chooses.

FAQ:
1) Can I contact my opponent and play now: YES... pm me the replays afterwards
2) I can't make it July 31st: PM me so we can replace you
3) My opponent doesn't want to play now, can I W.O: No, play July 31st if you can't agree to play now
4) Can I not pay the entry fee: Nope, pay the entry fee... if the entry fees are not paid by July 31st you will be replaced

So after the group stage what format is it going to be? Winner/Loser Bracket? Bo3? etc.
Also, are the players who advance out of group stage going to be randomized for that, or will they be playing people from the proximity groups?

Group K has 3 players that you'd prob consider for seeding, players that I've seen arround @ least, defo my pick for group of death.
Group N and Group O each have 2 players that i've seen arround and know are good as well, Groups M, P, J and perhaps I, seem a lot easier to qualify from. Just my personal opinion in any case. looking forward to this gl to all~!

I literally used a random number generator to seed the groups at a certain point. I knew there would be easier and harder groups no matter what.
Generally I tried to seed things with 1 well known players, 1 player I knew who was skilled (diamond) and then 2 randoms. Over all I think the groups are pretty solid

The 31st is the hard deadline for the prepay. I will be much more lenient on getting the games played.

Mudang played 2 games went 1-1 and then withdrew without going green. Going go wait for a decent explanation and most likely expose him to massive social pressure otherwise.

You will not be auto-dqed if you can't play tomorrow. If you can clear it by your group, go ahead and delay the play date to have the games in before the 5th.

All these issues can be solved in one way... Let the players play... isn't that what you wanted out of this qualifier from the start? You even stated previously that as long as the results are in by august 5th that was cool.

Just wanted to say that I tried adding and searching for the people in my group (M) days ago so this would go smoothly today but some of these people have different BNET IDs (even when it was beta still I couldn't find them) and/or their name isn't listed in the threads and they don't have TL account.

I've only played 1 match so far. And I did receive a message from 1 guy who is offline or afk now.
PS- I think it's kind of unfair to not let nero play, it does say matches to go on as long as they have to on the 31st. And that's 1 thing I distinctly remember because I thought to myself, "ok we got all day and night to play these matches, so I can get in more practice".

Basically:
If 2 players are tied, whoever has the better individual match record advances.
If both individual match records are the same (wtf) , then a one-game tiebreak will decide.

He said NOON PST on saturday. I came online at 1PM and ChaoticBlue/Hevad were online way before me. BOBO appeared to be offline. Neither I nor Chaotic have seen him online since (Haven't had a chance to talk to Hevad.)
If you talk to bobo and he tells you a specific time - let me know and I'll make myself available at that time =)

I even posted on here as soon as I didn't see him online. Then played ChaoticBlue around 1:30'sh and Hevad right after. I talked to Bobo a couple of days ago. He said he had friends in town and was not able to get on much this week and that we'll be able to play next week and that you gave us a pass due to these circumstances. I'm waiting for a PM from him to let me know the exact time he wanted to play.
