they're just working a job and trying to get viewers, so what if they're biased, everyones biased. sports gets flamed all the time, if starcraft really is an esport, it should be no different. They're catering to the majority of their viewership, just like the majority of us human beings change our appearance/speech in response to different situations/people in order to maintain good social standing. Sure they could be a bit more professional, but isn't colored commentary more interesting? would you really enjoy a basketball game/football game if it was just bland repetition of play by play, and none of the commentator's own views?
esports in asia has evolved to the point that almost everyone who watches starcraft knows the theory, build orders, and strategies- so viewers aren't interested in understanding the game or learning build orders or how to perfectly micro their units. they want the cool stuff, the little trips and gimmicks, not play by play mechanics.

Only Chinese can here them, and they should be biased. Like local reporters cheer for their own team. NO, they are not biased in favour of Chinese, but the Korean. They rarely talk about who is strong and who is weak in kor vs kor games.

Cool had that hidden Expansion running so long, i thought he would be leading... in the end he got destroyed!

The fungals on the DTs were very nice. Too much emphasis on the roach cost him the game though.

GO Hierarch vs Martian now (Flash vs Effort)

go back to tw server, the micro of tester is so good that cool has not chance at all.

I don't think they should allow for players of the same clan to play in the same group for group stages I'm not saying anything but that was a conspicuously bad strategy played by zerg Quick tech to fast infestors w/ really really late expansion in ZvP? looks like he was preparing for thor drops pre patch 12
I'm really scratching my head after that one, awfully awfully strange strategy/play by zerg
+ Show Spoiler +oGs.과일장수 was 2-0 when he played his clan mate im sorry im just not convinced he put any effort into his play, it was the worst game ive ever seen in my entire life, it looks like it was straight out of bronze league

Fruittrader is just not very care about his game vs ssks, quickly finsh it then hurry to a Korean tourney...

In my eye, they are telling the truth that Korea is dominating SC2 now in beta even I'm a Chinese. So I'm feeling that you are biased.

sigh, I registered on this site just for you.
First, details, those commentators were talking about his micro, they said HayPro's micro just not good. How is this biased? they are commentators, they actually make comments, wow, big deal.
Second, about Brat_OK, he didn't score any points in this event, so commentators jab him a bit, how is this biased? This is a long running joke for those commentators, since the qualifiers, anyone who didn't win a single game will join their bald head party, bald as in nothing. Commentators mentioned this to stress the competitiveness of this tourney.
Clearly your friend's Chinese isn't good enough to understand the jokes.

Empty didn't win any games either, do they jab him a bit?
..and did they mention that haypro is playing with 2-3 second delay from europe? I dont know how anybody is going to micro in that
Im surprised the commentators even know what micro is to be honest they are by far the worst observers for a professionally run tournament I have ever seen Multiple times I have seen expansions being built and finishing (on minimap) before they notice it
I've also seen armies streaming to one side of the map and counter attacking and it goes completely unnoticed until the last moment
So many times Im pulling out my hair begging for them to check somebody's base at a crucial time of the game
I almost never ever see the base for important information on what is going on, I'm watching the game completely clueless about whats going on
