That is about as insanely childish as it gets. People hack in tourneys and get less of a severe punishment.
Also saying Raelcun isn't "professional" is hardly something to shit up a storm about. He truly isn't... his casting style is extremely laid back and informal. So what's the big deal? You want to pretend he is Day9 status or something? People obviously enjoy him but I don't think he qualifies as the bob costas of esports or something.
Although raelcun isn't by any means unprofessional in casting hes nowhere near the top imo. He constantly mono-tone, goes on random rants not paying attention to the actual game, cuts off his co-caster, is extremely biased and repeats things (usually about a teammate) about how awesome they are compared to another player.
None of these things are that bad taken in small amounts but he does it allllllllll the time and acts extremely unprofessional often when not streaming like saying stuff like "kthxbye" or w/e.

Ugh haters gonna hate. I'm done arguing with you guys about nothing. So much of the kettle calling the pot black in this thread.

You should update the op with results or something for people who don't want to read the drama and just want to follow results o_O

To avoid mad spoilers I only update the link for past results. I update that right as the games are done.
So for a hater free experience you should just go to the OP and click "Past Event Results"

eg management wasn't involved at all neither was louder. Nazgul removed it and started a thread in the mod forum saying we need to discuss spoilers.
The "bm" you are referring to is what? Not jumping at your demands? Sorry bro. The "series of events" were a single event btw.. me spoiling the winner (my friend) when I had no idea that it was a tourney being casted off of replays.
35% is 104994588597.48395% arbitrary btw. I highly doubt people went "oh,.Machine is in the finals? Well FUCK WATCHING THAT TOURNEY THEN!" roflfl

Well since we are in the business of making up numbers btw I solemnly offer the sponsors .0004 cents USD per percentil lost from potential viewership and for the players (whom I especially care for) I will double that to an astounding .0008 cents USD.
This is a one time deal though that can only be accepted twice yesterday from tomorrow.

I don't care Geoff. I'm done arguing with you.

I had no idea my attempts at constructive criticism would draw out so many controversial posts.. my apologies for de-railing the thread...
Nice one basing by both players in that Copperhead vs Spades match, very high level ...
The stream is now entering "lets fool around and have fun with some known players on TL.net" stage again. Perhaps its just the friendliness among the players and casters on ICCup.tv (or maybe its just when Catz co-casts... lol that guy's so strange).
Either way I hope to see Kawaii roll some face as Zerg. Thanks for broadcasting, even if it was kinda sloppy...
I'll be staying until either CellaWeRRa plays or the Day[9] Daily starts, whichever comes first. I'm sure its true for 90% of your other viewers too.
Good luck holding onto the viewers.

We will be fine. We normally lose 8-15% of our viewers when a daily starts. This isn't our first rodeo.

I just tuned in to the game kawaii vs Drewbie, with kawaii offracing as Z and I must say... this commentating is horrendous. What is with this extreme bias and super-critical analysis of kawaii's play when he is actually playing pretty well. The commentating pretty much has just been bashing kawaii all game and saying what he could be doing better if he had maphack.

It's not bashing, it's legit criticism. I actually find it very helpful that catz is criticising his play like that. Being a high level zerg he sees things that the average player doesn't.

Root gaming is the preferred clan for ICCup.tv I've noticed. They love to praise those guys, and pick apart the play of their opponents.
This bias isn't new however, its been this way for this broadcast network since beta, you'll get used to it and just begin to ignore it because its completely meaningless babble most of the time.

by the way , why do you guys not have a real website yet, or at least a dedicated section on iccup.com to cover all your events , it seems pretty lame for a series of events (ITL, ITC, KOTH, etc) to be run 100% from TL.net forums
|
There was an iCCup.TV for a time I think.
Im liking Kawaii's Zerg. He's making a few mistakes, but he's doing really well for someone off racing. Also excited for TTOne in the next match and of course the main event!

Kawaii is Zerg? For some reason I always thought he was Terran. im so out of my game i guess lol. Cant wait to watch.
Edit: OMG IM MISSING IT

You did great, I was impressed with your Zerg. Just a little more fine tuning and it will be up there! Kawaii fighting!

His play was around a 1300 Zerg level. It was pretty obvious that he didn't really know how to play Zerg at a high level. There were a bunch of basic decisions that he made that were really bad. As harsh as that sounds, though, I've always been a KawaiiRice fan. His mechanics are amazing, and it shows in his play, even when he offraces as Zerg. Sure he made a bunch of dumb macro and micro mistakes, but his play was very mechanically solid. No matter what race he ends up choosing, he'll do exceptionally well. And if he just spends like a few more weeks with Zerg, and spends some time talking to better Zerg players, I'm sure he can become a top Zerg in no time. He's one of the few non-Korean players that I feel are really talented at the game.
