This is just stupid - I'd rather see NO race switching between games which presents a HUGE advantage, while allowing Random to be used. The only unfairness occurring with random is when the R player cheeses in a way that the other player can't prepare for due to not knowing the opponent's race. At this early stage it's a little crippling to the game balance to disclude it because no one is going to learn how to adapt their builds to counter this kind of thing.
It presents a huge advantage? Why? The player still has to learn multiple races, and their opponent still knows their race, eliminating the random advantage.
Your adamant objection seems a bit... dumb? Have a logical argument?
As a random player, if I cant play random in a tourney I'd at least like to be able to play w/e matchup I'm most comfortable with against my opponent. If I took the time to learn them all, shouldn't I get some kind of freedom to use that knowledge to my advantage?

If I took the time to develop a maphack, shouldn't I be able to use it to my advantage? Flawed logic is flawed.

Joke, sarcasm, or retardation?
It takes a lot of sc2 knowledge and skill to play multiple races... and since that is what tournaments are based on (skill and game knowledge), I don't think choosing races can be compared to maphacking in that way.

Alternatively, you can see it as an opportunity to abuse racial imbalances on every single map which isn't what tournaments are based on.

Woah woah. I may be a nice guy but this shit is going to end. I am putting too much time into this to have someone insult me and ask me to help make their name at the same time.
This isn't brain surgery people! We have about 100 registered so far. There is between 12-16 open slots a tournament. So when you sign up prepare to wait a bit.

He's been crying about not being auto-accepted into tournaments in just about every thread, might as well get used to it, lol.

heh thats the issue when you say first come first serve and say your going in order and you deny several pro gamers that signed up within the first 2 pages and add a bunch of people after them.
so it is kinda tougher than brain surgery on understanding how to sign up....

I may have missed some people but I have NEVER once denied anyone as long as they made requirements. Check your facts. And what pro gamer have I missed?

well denied is like the same as missing people, especially when you state your going in order and appear to add people selectively when they say rank 1 plat...
and by pro gamer, i meant myself without bragging directly... along with a few others that i know are competitive, that play in tournaments like WCG nationals and other events all the time.

First deny is completely is the opposite of miss. One is a deliberate action, other is called HUMAN ERROR.
And Rank 1 plat is good, but it really depends on when you are #1 and what division you are in. Now if you are #1 in US Division 2, that's a big f-ing deal. If your #1 in say like division #28 (just picking a random number here) that's not as big. O and for reference the #1 player in division 2 made it into the ITL 1 (aka: IdrA).
And before you get all high and mighty, I am not familiar with you. Remind me who you are again?

Del hooked it up big time and made a baller new image for the ITL. I updated the OP but here it is being it's in 2 1/2 hrs.

im not trying to get all high and mighty, but divisions are all equal in skill...(blizzard has said that there is no difference between division 1 and division 45of plat )
i dont think a reminder will help, but im a professional multi genre gamer with various accomplishments scattered all over the place, without going on a massive multi page list, a major highlight being 3 wcg usa national final medals.
oh and that new bracket poster thing looks really awesome and well done, love the background of it. would love to see a terran/zerg version as well =D
oh and on a side note if you do next weeks i wont be on, going to some gaming events out of town... well atleast for next sat, not sure about earlier in the week.
