So my friend who registered in the tournament, gave me this account. Boys is my account. But i do not play on it. 2 players - Gretorp and the friend from my city are using it. That's the thing. In general - i wanted to win the tournament and tell everyone my friend did it. However, Zpux just demolished me. Smurfing isn't that nice for viewers and it's very unprofessional in a tournament with money involved! How would it be if everyone will start smurfing ... Zotac admins should disqualify players who hide their identity.

I don't think anyone has an issue with you joining the tournament on it as long as everyone including the tournament hosts and opponents are aware.

Asking this because I never played any game on competitive level so I am a bit confused. Maybe some people want to play, from time to time, hidden behind other name so they don't get bothered and have peaceful games without people poking them.

Let's say person A and person B have played eachother hundreds of times on the ladder. Now they are meeting in a tournament, but person B is playing on person Cs account. Person A expects to be playing against person C and makes his decisions accordingly, not realizing it's not person B, while person B knows he's playing person A. It's just not a good thing.

I'll have to refer to you this good thread with advice from a protoss master [edit] I'm just joking. I know what you mean that was just an attempt at humour.

Smurfing is bad, indeed. :D Smurfing is fine as long as it isn't done in tournaments, or perhaps specifically: tournaments with no-smurfing rules. I want to re-iterate that I don't personally feel it was a big deal in this instance.

Also is sucks for viewers when they're watching a stream and see "Boys.lovegirls" playing a semifinal. What's the point in watching a game if you don't know who's playing.
