I have a small group of friends which I play with quite often and we try to do this, but it's somewhat casual and I feel we are more focused on our own game play and not the others for the most part. This would be a refreshing route to have others critique play styles and overall strategy. | ||

2. Protoss 3. B 4. no It would be nice to get a few other higher level players in a group for strategy discussion. At 2.2-2.5k level, strategy has evolved past the "how do I counter void rays" stage that the strategy forum is currently in and players should be focusing on more advanced concepts like map control, dictating the flow of the game, and identifying timing windows. | ||

Moving the time back to 8pm-10PM PST for now. If we have people on diff time zones I might try to divide them up so people have more convenient times for them to get some of this practice time in. I've got everyone on this thread and the bnet forums one on a spreadsheet now so I'll try to contact ppl tomorrow for the first event. AGAIN, PLEASE SIGN ONTO IRC.QUAKENET.ORG CHANNEL #sc2study around 8-10pm pst to join in on the fun. Mentors are just to help organize the rooms since we can't fit everyone in one room obviously. The flow of each match goes as follows: 2 players opt to play a 1v1, the rest spectate and take notes. After the game everyone discuss where some obvious errors were made, what might've changed the outcome of a match, and where the players could improve more. Every little detail can count! Remember don't be an asshole, we're all playing to get better, so unless you're a 5-time GSL #1 winner you aren't the best at this game. Please keep criticism constructive and not disparaging! I'll get in contact with everyone who opted to be a mentor ahead of time so we can organize this better. E-D Dont play many 1v1s at all, So I'm currently gold, but do have a pretty good understanding of the game, and could probably get to low diamond with relative ease. 4) Probably not...
