I still haven't played any bad games on Tal'Darim altar and it also seems pretty balanced. I just wish it didn't have rocks on the third base

Shakuras and Shattered temple are pretty much tied in second place for me.

tal was fucked up by blizzard. i cant believe they put rocks at the third. impossible to catch up to fast expanding terran and protoss as zerg.

My 5 favourite maps are the top 5 in the poll. It would seem to me that if most people like those kind of maps then Blizz should remove garbage like delta/slag/scrap and replace them with better maps. Backwater is a questionable map too, and I personally think Metalopolis has had its time and should be removed as well.

I like Tal'Darim the most of the new maps, despite having liked Shakuras, Xel'naga Caverns and Metal, a lot because it feels like I can actually have games where losing an army isn't gg ragequit; I usually have time to re-build at least half of what I had before any major counter-push comes (unless I failed horribly like 30 hellions vs. 50 roaches or something), which really lets the game go further into other tech trees and feel more dynamic. In my opinion.

I also like the XWT placements and their non-overlapping areas of view, as well as the little high-ground they sit on.

It's also pretty :D

That said, I also like Delta Quadrant for some strange reason, despite its' bad rep. The main choke is a bit weird, but otherwise I like the exposed expansions and valleys in which some of them lie.

shattered temple is my fall back, I am so used to playing on that map and I feel it is quite balanced now. Tal darim can be absurd and Xelnaga, I dont know I dont like the placement of the gold base, seems way too open =/ Though I admit shattered close spawn is annoying

I like most of the maps. Slag Pits and Delta Quadrant are the only maps I thumb down.
The new Shattered Temple is pretty awesome and somehow I really find Backwater Gulch to my liking.

I thought that shattered temple would do much better Maybe come second or at least third because of the map changes. i feel it is much easier to take a third because they changed the islands into rocks...

lost temple was a great ma though

Xel'naga caverns, the only reason im not picking Tal'Darim Altar is because there is no ramp which makes pvp even worse

with the shift from the shitty small maps that started in beta.. and the trend of more larger macro maps... I am switching back to Zerg. I hated playing small maps and losing simply because there werent any expo's left. And as Zerg u cant win 200v200 headsup so you NEED more bases.

DEFINATLY like the new trend of putting macro maps on the ladder.

I understand that they wanted small maps for ladder because weaker players are usually significantly worse at Macro than higher levl players..but maybe they should just give the lower leagues the small "2base v 2base" maps. And let the top 3-4 leagues have the macro maps.

btw: am I the only person who dislikes XNC? i hate both 3rds, the blue lowground one sucks vs harass, the gold is so accessible for your opponent.
