Testie even when he was a part of the community was arrogant and short sighted when it came to the community on a whole. Androide is the dumbest option I have ever seen. He doesnt know the name of half the "top foreigners" outside of russia. I wont even elaborate further, just no... Draco is retired and was NEVER a community player. In fact he opted to play strictly with koreans and shun the community.. why name him as a captain for something that is definately community based? Mondragon is the only viable choice of these. In fact he'd make the final cuts for a "real" list imo. Hes a great leader and has a general idea of the community. My only gripe is that he suffers from the Testie syndrome to a lesser degree. He thinks a lot lesser of a LOT ofplayers (sure they partly deserve it) but he also couples that with ignoring their results/progress which would make him an anti progressive leader.

Hey hey hey,,, those replays are "american" heavy (no pun intended heh) because they are the ones I game with. If I have a bias its super critical of american players. If I was given some kind of supreme power to chose from the entire non korean field I would put together the best damn roster/lineup etc EVER. The concession however is we WOULD have to be named team REAGAN.

Well forgive me for trying to raise some of the talents in the gutter that is the foreign community into the limelight. No offense, but in the past 5 years, what is the only event that has been in professional scope? Only TLT, nothing else comes close. It's about time the foreigners have more of a presence than once a year at WCG. I dont give a shit about the foreign scene, you are right. I only care about the pros. If I can mold that into my vision, then I will.

But it'd be good if some Korean could tell us what role the captains play. I think I have an idea of what it is, but I'm definitely not certain about it. It seems silly to have a poll about a concept that is vague to the foreign community without having a clarifying explanation of that concept.

BUT YES! THIS IDEA OF A FOREIGN TEAM??? I bet ACE is cheering... "yeeeey we don't have to come last every time! yaaaaaaaaaay!" I voted Mondragon as captain. P.S. To all the people bagging "Arrogance". The Australia team had more arrogant players than you can shake a stick at. But it's because of this arrogance that Australia became top 5 in the world... all of it's players cared and played passionatelly for their country and their spot in the team... now nobody gives a shit.. but hey.. at least we have better manner????

Mondragon is a good choice obviously, hes also proven as a long time leader of ToT. Personally Id nominate ret or MidiaN as they know what they're talking about gauging other players skills. However I dont know how active they are in the community now. Also Im not sure how they would do as "leaders", or "captain", as that requires more responsibility than necessarily picking the best players.

Androide..... What a joke. Have a Russian lead a foreign team. Nobody will give him any respect as he is already being ridiculed. Draco.. Never seen him as a leader. I don't know him well, but is his English good enough? Mondragon on the other hand has lead the best non-Korean team for the last 6 years and done a great job, with reasonably little scandal. ToT still exists it survived all this shit, while at the same time hundreds of teams have died. And all this without any 'sponsor' money.

But i think this is the most obvious suggestion and makes this attempt useless. It is hardly to imagine that people who play in their spare time besides school or college can win against players who live in houses with other progamers and concentrate only on the game cause it is also a life perspective for them. The popularity in Korea kept this game alive over the years. But for the old international players other things become inevitable more important as older they get during young people join newer games. So i cant see any sense in this. Only that the Korean can praise their top players when they slaughter the foreign players and attract even more fans which again raises the market value for the organizers and sponsors. But from the point of view of the foreign players this is useless.
