My biggest concern is the stagnation of the Korean scene. Feels like every GSL is the same names over and over again.

Blizzard had the entirety of Heart of the Swarm plus years in LOTV teaching everyone what a poorly designed unit the swarm host is and yet it still remains in the game, this is also where Infested Terrans enter the picture with the same problem, free units do not belong in Starcraft, you are adding another element of economy which the 2 other races do not have. (could get me started on Injects and mules aswell) I believe the end of 2020 will be Zerg dominated with Terran close second and Protoss still left in the dust since they decided to keep screwing over Protoss in 2020 aswell. If they do remove Infested Terrans there might be a slight chance Protoss can perform well with Carriers and storm in the late game vs Zerg but I doubt they will remove infested Terrans. Regardless of what happens after the next patch I trust Blizzard will do what they always do, if Protoss has something strong early in the patch it will be instantly patched before they can find a response to it, if Terran or Zerg has it might take a year+ to fix. What do I base this on? Carrier got nerfed hardcore before Zergs started to understand the strength of infested Terrans. Immortal all inns a problem? Got nerfed fast, zerg solved the problem themselves and shut it down before the patch was even released. These are only the latest, it is far from the first time it has happened. I called all this early 2019, we are now closing in on December and the only thing Blizzard managed to do for 2019 was nerf the already weakest race Protoss to the ground because they were to busy listening to the complaints from ignorant twitch chat/biased streamers. Meanwhile, Zerg gets away with the most broken Meta SC2 has ever seen in its history. Not to mention so many SC2 Pro's inability to even try to make unbiased opinions towards Blizzard, you wanna win I get it. You need some people with real leadership/understanding and vision for the game Blizzard, you are not gonna find the answers if you keep looking to people with obvious bias for inputs. You need someone who truly understands the game and has a vision for great RTS gameplay.

We had ASUS ROG back this summer which was awesome but the viewership was so bad, it's really sad to see.

Exactly the same here. | ||

No Blizzcon for BW is big blow too, they only made 2 (can't even call that Blizzcon because it's only bo5 match between two pros but still that was something) because game kinda was new'ish. Now only 3 devs run Remastered and they push updates half a year with 1% change. I got a feeling both games can fall apart.

I'm also very happy that China brought team leagues back to the spotlight - it feels like they're trying to fill a hole that has been missing for a while in that regard. My biggest concern is the stagnation of the Korean scene. Feels like every GSL is the same names over and over again. WCS is the Serral/Reynor show but that's a-ok right?

IEM and HSC are still going.I know on the pylon show they said the reason SC2 isn't on Dreamhack or MLG is because of WCS scheduling. If we lost WCS I'm sure we'd get other tourneys like MLG and Dreamhack We should get rid of WCS, or unlock region lock. We can now see that foreigners are on par with or better than Koreans right now.

1) The e-sports viewing community wants what people want in every one of the biggest sports on the planet (soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey, etc.), teams. It is by far more enjoyable to root for a team than an individual player, who other than very rare exceptions, careers don't last long at the top. I think SC2, or SC3 at this point, needs a real team game focus in addition to 1v1, maybe two different versions of the game/balance. 2) New players. Let's be honest, whats the average age on TL, 30 maybe? I'm 36. SC2 is an old mans game haha. The scene needs to draw in younger players to replace the many retirements, and it needs to make big structural changes to draw in younger viewers. 3) Business model - Blizzard needs money to justify more development. I've spent about $140 bucks to play a game for 9 years, not great for them. I'd like to see even single units added to the game every so often. Something new to spur excitement in the game. Of course a full new expansion would be great too.
