Broke even between Neo Planet S and Whirlwind. But I feel like Planet S is truly well put together, you need to stay spread out if you want too keep your third, and positioning is crucial because of all different paths your enemy can take to your base. Whirlwind is also great but Planet S takes it for me.

Wow! I don't agree with the votes of this poll at all. Are you guys voting on what you like to play on or what games you have seen the pros play on them that you thought were entertaining? Whirlwind is way too big and neo is kinda silly in it's design to me.

As someone else has said, I much prefer the old mappool. Most of the new HotS map are pretty weird. It's nice with some variance but almost all of the maps feel gimmicky right now and that is just too much.

I think all these maps are pretty bad. Planet S forces Protoss to 2 base all in, Whirlwind is just too large, Akilon is ok but it seems too easy for Protoss, Bel shir has too many ramps, and the rest are shit for obvious reasons.

Put Bifrost on Ladder.

Akilon wastes is very enjoyable for me. I like to play a long macro game so the easy 4 bases are great. late game involves maneuvering around 5/6th bases which has a very cool architecture. And i just love coming in from the dead space and sniping bases with void ray carrier, then recall out vs zergs. :D
Spectator wise we've also seen a lot of great games from akilon flats, and I imagine akilon wastes will be no different because it's so friendly for virtually all kinds of playstyles. Air players can abuse the large dead space, deathball players get lot's of space to micro around and a lot of locations to hide pylons and counter attack, mech players can secure and defend 4 bases relatively easily, bio players can deny enemy's 5/6th bases while also defending his own. It's a great map to both watch and play on.

As a Protoss player, I'm finding 3rd bases incredibly hard to hold vs. T and Z on Neo Planet S and Star Station. Newkirk Precinct is so hard to play vs good Terrans because of how large the main base is and how much room there is to drop. Korhal City is absolute garbage - everything is in one place to defend and games on it always end up being slightly retarded (Nexus first PvP and the like).

I like Belshir Vestige. Big map, but not too large, a few different attack paths, bases that aren't too hard to hold but still take some effort. Surprisingly I've been playing Whirlwind because the other maps are so bad, and it's okay too. Akilon Wastes is a good map as wel. Those and Daybreak are the only ones I like in the pool right now.

I really like Bel shir vestige, all my favorite games played were on that map so far, the way expos are placed just make it so much more interesting.

Planet S: most exciting games, no watchtowers, snow

Expected Korhal City to be bottom, though, free 3base ruins everything. Nothing really bad about Star Station imo, it's just a bit boring.
