I love Metalopolis. They need to fix spawning positions though.

I can give a lot of examples on great games we've seen since the beta. This map everyone got used to so it would bring out the best in players. That's why I would pick it as the favourite.

Taldarim altar & Terminus RE.

Xel'naga cavern is kinda getting old in my opinion. I've seen too many similar games on this map, where both players are on 2 bases and fighting in order to take / deny the gold base. *Yawn*
Still a great map nonetheless.

I love Tal'Darim Altar. You have 2 easy expansions, but the double ramp makes the third fairly vulnerable still. The 4th is fairly easy to take although some positions can make it difficult to defend, but that's how it should be.

Crevasse seems to be very good for similar reasons. Also, the destructible debris add lots of nice attack paths.

I don't really like Terminus since it is incredibly easy for Terran to turtle up on 3 bases and just deny the 4th and 5th bases from Zerg with drops.

We haven't seen a whole lot of crossfire yet, but it looks like Siege Tanks will be a bit overpowered on that map.

And all the old maps have their well-known issues

I'd say Tal'Darim Altar is my favorite, with Crevasse in a close second.

voted terminus, the games on that map have all looked excellent so far. i'm really hoping for scrap station to come last here though, i really don't think that map is very good at all. so bad for protoss they'll only four gate all in and TvZ is generally very linear with the tank marine push through the middle either winning or losing the game. All the other maps are good when close positions are avoided and i would be happy to see in the tournament

taldarim and terminus are most like current BW maps and Squirtle vs IMMVP is proof enough of what epic gameplay awaits us on these beautiful maps.
