I would like the times to be displayed in the users selected Timezone, for registered users. Since it makes the most sense.
Guests could be auto detected (according to their IP adress - country - timezone of the country) or the result of this poll.

I'm in Korea... thus Korean time zone for me.

Keep it KST. US time fucks over Europe (and vice versa), not to mention there are a few different times zones in the US anyway. The most popular time zone is US east but that is only at 28%, so you would still fuck over the majority of users.
KST is good because it is neutral between Europe and North America, and is useful for Korean tournaments too.

I'm not sure i follow this question. I thought all countries were in the GMT / UTC (+ / - ) x timezone. This differenciation of UTC plus for ex. all those timezones for USA seems to me like some few countries sticking with miles while the rest of the world uses meters and other SI units.

That still leaves the CST and PST people (who outnumber the EST if you add them up) to "recalculate times". If there is no way to do the times on the time of the computer I would think the KST based timing should be kept as it is. People just have to get used to it and it doesnt matter if it is +7 or -11 or whatever ... just get used to it for your timezone. Starcraft is a global game and you should be able to adapt to global timings. KST is just fine and TL has done an admirable job of giving the times in their calendar.

EET is my.
But I think CET should be main TL time, would be nice

Atlantic time, like the other 3 people on the site. We're a very small timezone.

GMT here.
I'd say either keep it KST (what I'd prefer) or, if you have to, change it to EST.
I have GMT/KST/EST all showing on my windows clock, so one of the three is fine .

To this I'd just like to add that in windows you can have it so that when you click on the clock, it will show your time zone, plus upto two other time zones time.
For Windows 7:
Click on the time. Click "Change date and time settings". Click the "Additional Clocks" tab. Check "Show this clock", select a time zone, and give it a name. Click OK.
Now when you click on your clock it will show your main timezone clock as the large left one, then a smaller one (or two if you chose two) on the right of that.
As my above post says, I have my main one showing GMT (my time zone), then one showing EST (for American TV shows), then a final one showing KST (for SC2 related stuff).
Makes it alot easier to keep track of when TV shows are on, and when stuff like GSL etc. is on. .

You've still got your core BW group living in KST, plus the biggest tournament (GSL) being KST. The locations for the smaller tournaments literally span the globe and there isn't one with both regularity and size to warrant being the timezone focal point outside of Korea.

At least I know I'm not alone on the east coast who has to wonder if he should wake up at 4-5 am to watch GSL =(. WTB more big EST tourneys.

why rnt u just putting multiple clocks up there. i would find it quite usefull to see the times in different parts of the world there. :o especially since sc2 is international atm and u need to convert times on quite a regular basis ..

If you're gonna change it, make it change so that people see all times in their profile selected timezone.
|
lol wheres mountain time?

I think that KST should remain, but also add the most used US time zone and CET. It would be nice that if you hold the mousecursor over and upcoming event KST-time it would expand or showing an window with the time translated to other timezones like US Eastern and CET.
Its really nice with the KST time when watching the GSL but with all the worldwide tournaments with their times posted in diffrent timezones can get confusing.
