Obviously a lot of people know of Jinro but I don't think I've seen him in any tournaments since a TL Invitational, and to come in unknown and win the whole damn thing is awesome. Not only that but his play was amazing and made me want to try terran. Jinro vs Socke $$$

Painuser's performance was incredible though. What was the loss? I thought he was 4-0 vs TL, did I miss a game?

That's what I'll remember from this tournament. Jinro will give us many more great games, we'll have even bigger upsets than IdrA's (e.g. Tester didn't even qualify for GSL3) but I don't think (or rather, I hope) that anything will beat the finals-that-almost-never-were.

Jinro winning was awesome for him.. The internet failing was a huge story.. PainUser doing SO well against Liquid and taking third place. Even TTOne getting second was a big story because I would've never put him up there with the top tier players playing in MLG, but he definitely proved me wrong. Guess I'll have to go with the internet failing though

You honestly believe that the problem was on the end of the people who were still able to maintain their streaming footage without the slightest problem during the entire time the Bnet servers were deathing? MLG has to get permission from Blizzard to organize tournaments featuring Starcraft 2 just like everyone else, so it's highly unlikely they'd blame Blizzard for anything that goes wrong even if it is their (Blizzard's) fault, for fear of not being able to do future events due to bad publicity.

Because it all being MLG's fault is so much better publicity than it all being Blizzard's fault, right? The problem is with links in the chain that have nothing to do with either end. This is what MLG ended up saying, and I believe it because it is nothing new. The Internet has fucked up so often that I don't even pay attention any more, I just wait for things to get fixed. They do need LAN, but lay off the tinfoil please. It's not becoming of you.

Maybe I over value his skills but he is such a great player I was shocked at his early exit. more so to Select than to Nazgul though. 4 liquids in the top eight wasn't very surprising though the order was. The second biggest was Jinro's awesome win. Though the Internet failed it did deliver to us the best game of the tournament so I can;t complain.

http://starcraftarena.net/forum/index.php?topic=18787.0 + Show Spoiler + Did you miss a lot of the MLG action in Dallas live or off of stream. Do you want to know wth happened? Heres a little bit of info for you! The top 8 out of the 128 players who attended MLG Dallas get money: 1st = $6,250 2nd = $3,750 3rd = $2,500 4th = $1,750 5th = $1,250 6th = $875 7th = $625 8th = $500 Who got Top 8? 1st = LiquidJinro 2nd = TT1 3rd = Pain.User 4th = LiquidTyler (aka nony) 5th = LiquidTLO (aka TheLittleOne) 6th = EG.Machine 7th = LiquidRet 8th = ROOT.drewbie Who were some tournament favorites? IdrA, LiquidRet, KiwiKaki, LiquidTyler, LiquidHuk, qxc, Dignitas.Select. Biggest Upsets? - IdrA gets knocked out of the tournament SUPER early (well for IdrA). Especially since he WON MLG D.C. - TorcHgaming gets knocked out of the tournament SUPER SUPER early. Biggest Suprises? - Two players that have been off the radar for a bit (LiquidJinro and TT1) are the players that make it to the Grand Finals! - PainUser who I thought was just a good friend of HD's makes THIRD PLACE! (and hes tall) - TeamLiquid sends seven players to MLG Dallas that have never attended an MLG event before, and one half of the top eight end up being from TeamLiquid. - LiquidTLO is amazing at Zerg (which he btw has only for a very short time been permanently playing). Saddest Things? - HDGamer gets knocked out without winning a game. - LiquidTLO didn't win the whole thing. - IdrA didn't rage (even though I love him) - The finals got delayed by like two hours because of "technical problems." The most important question for half of you out there, What were the best TLO matches? - They were all amazing. In pretty much all of them there was creative infestor play. Who knew that you could crush your opponent in just a couple of minutes when you opened three hatch before pool. Im being contained? OK I'll just get burrow and tunneling claws and suddenly pop up under my opponents mineral line. - Some really good ones were LiquidTLO vs LiquidHuK and LiquidTLO vs jeremiahthebullfrog - Also check out LiquidJinro vs Sockeh (my favorite match of the tournament) - Other stuff can be found at mlgpro.com

The Lan client, even for major tournaments, means that they would lose all leverage over their product if a partner decides to go rogue or expand beyond agreements (see BW scene), and they might even be forced to support unauthorized or license expired copies. They know the problem is there, it's just not a simple fix problem. I voted Jinro Seeing a ton of Day[9] dailies with him and then seeing him come back fighting strong was awesome.
