But honestly, looking at Boxer and NaDa in interviews and real life communication (eg: gsl qualification) - those folks wouldn't mind if other people didn't care much who they are. Very humble people, they don't take themselves too seriously, or feel great or anything. It's similar with Flash and Jaedong. In fact, it may be in their favor if new players don't treat them as gods etc, so they can develop like any regular progamer does. | ||

Since then have watched most of klazarts vods up to August 25, 2009, I think initial reason was just to have an idea where the sc2 player were sort of coming from or some such nonsense, either way was entertaining . Haven't watch too many since started watching sc2 streams a ton, though. Took me that bloody long to look into sc more, have played it for years but pretty much impossible scenarios and the like, hell first time I played sc was at a friends house before broodwars came out ah realizing that lurkers attacked while burrowed from pictures was interesting. and thank you for the paratrooper vod had not seen that. | ||

When I played against just Americans, I always felt like I was a very good player, beating just about everyone consistently. Only a few players at that time, like grrr, pillars, ect. would beat me more often than I beat them. After playing boxer, I gave up on competitive bw :-P | ||

but do people really find it amazing that people who play starcraft 2 don't know who boxer or nada, or lots of others are? There's tons of top players, and it's not like this is a competition that's mad a big deal of across every single media. I know who Michael Jordon is, i know who Shane Warne is, Tiger Woods, lots of famous sporting heroes that you see on TV all the time...but who is boxer? some dude who's done big things for e-sports. I don't know, maybe i just don't see this thing as somethign as big as real sports, but hopefully it will be one day. | ||

She also said that she was "not very tallanted and failed as an actress" which I found heliarious because shes clearly really jealous of her and I've never heard her speak like that before. They used to be friends in school but she doesn't know her any more so I as exciting as this random conicendence is, its not like shes going to be inviting Boxer around for tea or anything. | ||

It is kind of sad that at this point there are many people on TL who dont know who Boxer is BUT everyone of us came to TL at some point, not knowing too much about SC. TL is our source to gain more knowledge about SC/BW, SC2 and esports in generall. Talking down people because they dont know someone you know because you might be a) older, b) registered at TL for 5+ years or c) felt ashamed to vote "no" and looked him up with the help of google to feel superior I guess this behavior comes from the sag fact that BW is going to suffer a lot in the next time. Rumor thread everyone? I am sad, too that SC2 is taking away many good BW playerrs but with those players, SC2 is going to be more interesting imo. I understand this perspective though. I had to take a hard walk to go from "I hate everything in SC2, fuck mbs etc." to "I like SC2, enjoy playing it, get exited about progamers playing a new game and still watch every BW game i can because i really love the game for so long now. For me, the fact that more BW players go for SC2 is not only a sad thing anymore. It is more like something nice that happens in the sad process of SC2 growing over BW | ||
