This...The results arent as bad as I thought they would be. I knew who boxer was even before I knew that pro SC even existed sooo it was a long time ago. Then I learned about pro SC and Savior was dominating so the 2 big names for me were always Savior and boxer.

I assume the people who voted no did it cause they thought it was funny or something.. even if you didn't follow or play broodwar for years, you would have heard that name around here A LOT over the past few weeks.. and the one's who recently found out.. well, at least you know now, although you'll never know what it was like cheering for him in broodwar.

A huge portion of the new sc2 players don't know who boxer is, almost all my irl friends who play sc2 don't know him. And it is SAD.

Boxer even has a wikipedia entry for him. WIKIPEDIA. Anyone who doesn't know him cannot legitimately say they know anything about video games, or even computers for that matter. I know wikipedia is unreliable, but the fact that he is so well known that he has his own page is an indication of his immaculate and eternal greatness.

I'm actually surprised this many people know who he is. Obviously anyone who followed brood war even remotely knows him but this forum is flooded with new sc2 players. So I'm guessing half of those votes come from people who read an sc2 thread where he was mentioned and the other half actually know who he is.

I never played ICCup, but I know who boxer is. Everyone on team liquid should know who boxer is. In fact during registration there should probably be a blurb in there about Boxer, Jaedong, and Flash.

I wanted to improve my play in BW, so I went looking for tips. I found this site (unfortunately I did not register) and some others, downloaded a bunch of reps and saw a good bit of Boxer. I still remember learning how to do the dropship+tank micro against sunken colonies. I remember watching the Pimpest Plays of 2002 (a few years after, I don't remember searching in 02). I showed all my friends the Trail of Tears rep and the Drone Drill. I had a LAN back then and would crush my friends with the things I tried to lift from his play and the other Pimpest Plays. I almost want to dig up my old replays and see if I can find myself doing the 4 rax float rush on LT. Good times.
