My first RTS was WC2, then I started SC when it came out. Never really played it competetively except on LAN's with friends. I have also played a little Red Alert and C&C, but never really liked it. What got me into RTS again was SupCom which still is a really good RTS in my opinion... SupCom FA just made it alot better also.

But now I am playing SC2 and having a blast.

BW, then AoE, then a break to play WoW *ducks* then BW when I found myself in need of a game with no upper skill limit. Never played WC3, never wanted to... SC:BW was everything I needed in a game.

So I bought a new computer for SC2, forgetting that I had lost my BW cd-key. Long story short, after buying SC2 I now have to go buy BW again

and I was always too lazy to register my game lol so no hope of that

I was mixed, played Starcraft: Brood War in my youth for about 3 years, then moved onto Dawn of War, occasionally went back to Starcraft but mostly other RTS games got my attention, like I said Dawn of War was pretty big for me, so was Command and Conquer.
But now that Starcraft 2 is out i'm concentrating entirely on that.

I voted mostly BW even though the past few years it was a balance between a huge variety of different RTS games and spent more time on them collectively than SC but comparing them one by one I played BW the most.

played sc1 in like 05-06 but i was too young to get into it competitively so I played mostly funmaps or fastest possible with my clan.
then I moved onto wow while occasionally starting up sc every couple of months. (also I never liked the new units of broodwar and only played original sc
got into sc2 beta and quit wow

There are a lot of WC3 players who joined TL after the release of SC2.

It is funny, they use "QQ" in reference to the shortcut alt-q-q, but meaning "cry some more" or something along that line.

Before Wc3, I dont think any sc player would have used that. Now, its everywhere in our forum, lol.

and War3 for life! War3 was the first RTS I got into hardcore. I played a little BW, but I'd been spoiled by the better interface on war3, and only being able to hotkey one building was just too much of a turn off for me
