After three weeks of grueling competition, the ladder phase of the tournament is now over. Before I get onto the discussing what happens next, let me just say that everyone on the TSL staff were blown away by the competition, participation, intensity and on the whole, fair play of the tournament. In addition to that the Ladder drew together various strands of the community into a single tournament and created, as many people have commented, a ladder which was tough - but fun. We got to see the drama of a number of old schoolers coming back, while we saw the dedcation and persistence of katoan and a whole lot of first class replays. This really was a monumental event.
Now that the ladder is over the TSL staff are moving in to sort and tabulate data, check records, eliminate cheats and generally mull over the records of the top 100 players. Once we have attained the true top 48 as of 1:00am KST we will then be able to release information regarding the next phase of TSL - the first round of Qualifiers. Those of you in the top 48, TSL staff will be contacting you as soon as we have the matchups confirmed. For those of you who may have made the top 48 and have not sent Hot_Bid a contact email address please do so as soon as possible.
So what happens next?
We have two rounds of qualifiers. The first round will take gamers ranked 17-48 and top-tail pair them. The pairs will square off in a Bo3 with the Winner advancing through to the second round of Qualifiers while the loser goes home empty handed. Rest assured, there are bound to be dynamite lineups for this event. Just a friendly reminder that teamliquid has the exclusive right to release these replays (and they will be released) so if you do release your Qualifier/TSL replays you will be punished. Also, due to severe balance issues we have decided to remove Troy from the map pool for the Qualifying stage. This will be replaced by Longinus II - a map which received a large amount of ladder play and has proven to be balanced.
So for now, sit tight, and relax (although im sure those of you sitting around the 47-50 mark will be on edge for awhile). TSL Staff are working overtime to get TSL one step closer to the main event. Also, Day[9] will be rating the top 10 replays very shortly and announcing the $100 winners! In the mean time, feel free to release rep packs from the ladder, talk about your games and reflect on what was a very successful ladder.

Truley the best event that has ever been organized in the history of the foreign brood war scene.
Hands down for TL.net, amazing job guys.
As for my self, I'm really disappointed in not making top48, and I'm not sure how I'll ever be able to play ladder "normally" again. The motivation and tight competition that TSL offered was beyond anything that i've ever experienced before. Going back to Iccup simply trying to achive a higher rank feels almost pointless.

and where are the 48 list? cuz in ICCUP the points still adding
its the case of TSL-Fenix, he was 47 when the announce says TSL ends

just wait for the server to update, and check the [Live] TSL Rankins page on the right there, it updates every 20 minutes so should have a full up to date list of the top 48 finishers, but probably not the list of final players.

but what i said is:
i saw tl.net page and the green announce says TSL Ladder is over
then i went to ICCUP and make a print of the list. Fenix was 47 but now is 49 ¬¬

Reed what they have sad. They made e block or something at the deadline and every game that was started before that deadline counts, but not the one after it. So the list u took a screen of might not be the actual top 48. It might be some game started like 1 mins before that can take the place of somebody. And about the hacker issues. they will look up these things 2 so it might take a while. =)

I would like to say thank you to everybody in Teamliquid for arranging this ladder as this will naturally be the ending point of my TSL procareer  . Overall I think the event was highly successful for you (and for me, last few days I managed to almost reach D again from my 1 point). Thanks also for the people who took time out of laddering to help me out!
Love you TeamLiquid and good luck to all the players in the qualifiers, I'll be looking intently at your replays to learn how to play!

It was very fun to be a part of this. Awesome work by the TL and ICCup admins. The TSL is just fantastic. A ladder with some much passion and drama (Legionnaire, Naz, Eriador, Testie) which was great fun to be a part of followed by a 48 man tournament of the best (proven the best) of foreign Starcraft. This is just so good.

hehe love katoan. If u want help anytime just ask people will probebly try to help you all the time from know on I aint supriced if u are a hell of a player before the year ends. =)
By the way hope ultraling and ex dont make it, becouse of their "abuse" in the end (atleast in my mind thata abuse) even if its in the rules.

Even though I (and many others) knew we never stood a chance of winning anything, we still participated and had lots of fun.
Thanks for everything and I can't wait for the rest of the tournament where the really good games will be played.

ultraling probably abused. imo very unlikely he made top48 legit.
I guess that's why TSL admins have been asking us to keep autoreplay activated. Stupid abusers will undoubtedly be caught and people who "forgot" to save replays should be DQ:ed as well...

I am sad the ladder is over, I was having so much fun with my TSL account.
I can not wait for the Qualifies. Will they be streamed and casted, or at least offline casted? I hope so!!!

I am here to clarify something. I am indeed in the top 16 of the ladder. A few days ago I've posted a drop hacking game vs '5m6m7m8m' and the incident has yet to be been examined by the admins. Here is the link http://iccup.com/iccthread/24589/

maybe the fact that you didnt give us any proof and just a screenshot of a drop screen contributes to that, or the fact that you posted it in the wrong place? I'm not trying to give you guys more jobs to do, but I think it would be pretty cool if the community could pitch in a set of mini bio/introduction/interview of the players qualified cause I dont think everyone knows who they are. Once you guys finish selecting the top 46 of course.

First ladder I've participated in after six+ years of playing SC. 
And though I'm not gonna be the one playing, TSL is gonna get much, much better. Can't wait for the whole thing to really get going and start watching the top talent and determination outside of Korea duke it out with live streams and commentary.

This map is like 100000 times better than luna that is.
I don't understand why you seems so aggressive with this map that doesn't look bad at all beside maybe a b3 that is cliffable by lurks in zvp but so does the toss with templars...
Seriously i find this map more funnier than 90% of the macro boring maps that are played everytime. I'm sick of it.

the hate has nothing to do with the map. it's about the creator, he's choking people with his craze about his own map. (it's ok to advertise your own map, but this is spam, and at that, a bad and old one - he has to realize that) I bet if there weren't for this, the map would be a lot more popular and played.
btw, good job on the TSL.
