You should make 3 times in the top right :KST, PDT, CET.
It would be the best since everyone* would look at his timezone. Whats bad in having 3 times there instead of 1 ?
Sb will say '9 KST' and you look at your timezone and you find out which time is it in your timezone ;-)

I say leave it, hell, make it so people can select a timezone in their profile and then have a Korean time zone and then a personal time zone. That way I don't have to do the math each time to know when a match is played.

This is why God invented the "timestamp with timezone" datatype

Awesome

If we have to choose a time I think Korean is by far the best option.

Guys, there is a lot of difference between changing a timesetting on the server and programming the site so it supports every timezone properly.

It's the most logical thing to do, because for example in the calendar we always use Korean Time, so it really makes the most sense to have the system run in Korean Time.

Carnac, if you need some help, I'm knowledgeable in PHP/MySQL and I would love to help out if it means having a "Personal Timezone" section.

God. Thanks. Even if the site is mainly american, i was so tired of this time because i live in france. The hell i care about pacific time ? :p
If they want their time just read it, by default in windows, on the bottom right of your screen ! (well depends of ppl of course)

I think it should be CET since it is a dutch site and all. But kor time is like second best option so it's all good.
Not that I ever look at tl.net time or anything.

ViRii > it's certainly doable, but it requires some time that we don't really have right now (or rather, we'd like to focus on other things when we do have some).

Having the korean name was an easy and quick solution to solve the confusion issues. If you want to know an event's time in your local time, use this. I'll add something later to make it more convenient, though.

The Internet should have his own time, similar to the idea Swatch had some years ago. A day has 1000 (dunno what they called it) "clicks" and times are like 150, 350 .. and since they are different from the "normal" time ppl would not be confused or mix them up. And if someone said OSL starts 570 tomorrow *everyone* knew when that is. Too bad Swatch only pushed this halfassed and did include timezones and not just "one" time. The idea was good.

That should be reintroduced as TLT (Team Liquid Time).
