Is it just me or is this MSL moving really fast? We're down to the last day, and 4 more people will be turned away from the battle field. Currently our Elite Eight consists of FBH, Savior, and July (Oversky will be replaced by a Wild Card). The good news is that's only 1 terran. The bad news is that we got 2 terrans guaranteed a spot, and 3 more that could possibly get in. Let's hope that doesn't happen.
June 10th – 18:30 Korean Match B - Game 2 - XellOs (T) vs 910[Ete] (T) @ Monty Hall Game 3 - Loki Match E - Game 2 - GoRush (Z) vs Sea (T) @ Monty Hall Game 3 - Python Match G - Game 2 - Hwasin (T) vs Sheis (T) @ Python Game 3 - Monty Hall Match H - Game 2 - Bisu (P) vs Light (T) @ Monty Hall Game 3 - Python
XellOs (T) vs. 910[Ete] (T)
@ Monty Hall / Loki
Ouch. XellOs isn't looking too good. Many were hoping his 2-0 win in the Group Stages was a signal for his comeback, but last weeks game was nothing short of rape. It was like watching a progamer play with a C5 newb. I don't know WHAT went on in that man's head, but he's gotta do less DDR, and more BW. Unless XellOs starts shaping up, I gotta give this one to 910[Ete]... a real shame, since this guy DOES NOT deserve to make it this far.
GoRush (Z) vs. Sea (T)
@ Monty Hall / Python
Mad props to GoRush's play last week. It made Sea look like any other 15 year old. It was perfectly played, and really gives us all hope that he's back to what he once was. But Sea is well, Sea. A 9-3 Proleague stats is nothing to laugh at... and the fact that his TvZ is 4-0 only adds up. Then there's last Wednesday's games to consider. GoRush losing to NaDa in the Ace Match would really put a dent in his confidence.
I predict Sea taking Monty Hall. Because the map is highly Terran favored, and also demands many multi-tasking abilities, which Sea has plenty of and GoRush slightly lacks. However in Python, the game could go anywhere. For the hope of the swarm I shall root for GoRush to take that one (after all, it is a map that favors Z).
Hwasin (T) vs. Ever)T(Sheis (T)
@ Python / Monty Hall
Hwasin, I am disgusted. You are doing so well despite everyone's claims of you being the weaker link, and you've been throwing all sorts of shit in their faces to prove otherwise... then you enter last week with a freaking bbs build and completely fail it. What a joke. My prediction is that Hwasin will try to play striaght-up, and still lose. Sheis I believe has the better TvT, and that's what convinced Hwasin to use such an all-out build in the first place. Maybe, Hwasin will take a game. But 2? I wouldn't count on it.
Bisu (P) vs. Light (T)
@ Monty Hall / Python
A match that should be a bit more interesting. Last week match turned out to be a horrendous, Light pausing the game and whining about the map being different. Honestly... how do you practice on an old version for weeks, play a match on it in Group Stages, and STILL NOT NOTICE IT?! This goes to the MBC coaching staff and his teammates. Today's matches should be much more entertaining. I will give the edge to Bisu, because i just can't imagine Bisu losing 2 PvTs in a row. But I do expect this to be a very good game, and hopefully it will go into a gripping 3rd game.
Notice: Because OverSky will be entering the army within a month, he will not be participating in the GomTV2 MSL anymore. To replace him, MBC will hold a Wild Card round like they did for BoxeR of the 8 people who lost in the Sweet 16. This means our heros Ever)P(TT, Oov, Stork, and Ra still have 1 chance to get in.
i'm cool with anyone but tt replacing oversky. it would really suck if they were to replace a cheeser with another cheeser. oh and thanks for the writeup!
Why blame Light? It's not as if he had any idea that they would suddenly and inexplicably remove the ability to build turrets in the middle, and not as if he could see that kind of map change on TV...
gogo stork and xellos! i still think xellos can make a small comeback push haha. but yeah idk im sorta leaning toward protoss players now since i find toss to be fun to play.

because the maps were distributed throughout the teams at the same time, before the MSL started, and everyone in MBC Heros had the updated version except for Light... which means he wasn't organized.

wait, don't they mass game together? wouldn't light notice the difference in map versions when playing against his team mates, or over b.net with other progamers?

Management Magician lacking multitasking abilities? I think not :p

It's not like the map was "suddently and inexplicably" changed.... -.- But I think I voiced my opinion in the live report thread enought already. Just to be clear, Light was dead anyway, I am 100% certain Bisu would have easily raped Light's push attempt easily, he simply had too many units - turrets (would only have been one at most where it mattered...) or not turrets.

savior* ?
Live2win is referring to Gorush taking the lead vs Sea in the ro16 Bo3 on Loki last week, not to Gorush beating Savior in the ro32 on Desperado.
lol carnac i think SteelString was making a joke about how savior apparently got manhandled and made to look like a child for off racing against gorush.
We all know what's going to happen now. Ra will get in through the wild card, again, and progress super far in the tournament, again, and piss of Etter to no end, again.
Awesome preview L2W! Bisu vs Light will be really exciting.
Yeah Wild Card! Oov, Stork, Ra, either one of them will bring a huge smile to a lot of people's faces. TT on the other hand, if by some miracle cheeses his way into this one... ok nm I give him about the same chance as I gave Justin at his OSL group... but if he does, I'll have to fly to Korea for a top secret assassination mission. Heck, this might just become the best group of the season! :-)
The good news is that's only 1 terran. The bad news is that we got 2 terrans guaranteed a spot, and 3 more that could possibly get in. Let's hope that doesn't happen.
Edit: Oh screw this, won't spit in the soup anymore. Only for mods...
Beat GoRush please Sea. Somehow July v Sea sounds juicy, then a July v Bisu, then by magic July v 910/(Light) final just to complete the July > MBC MSL.

Hehe that would be funny as hell
Good read Live2Win, I hope the wildcard go to either Oov or rA, but perhaps most to rA due to his entertaining game against July @ monty

The replays of progamers are not released in general, as they don't wish for it in order to avoid their replays being analysed. Therefore I can't remeber that ANY replay of a broadcasted promatch was released.
