IT IS TIME, teamliquid, IT IS TIME FOR WAR! Recently a new website caught the eye of entropy, who posted a highlight video from BGHers.com. Being the fine folks that we are at TL.net, we promptly ripped it to shreds, claiming that the so called "pimpest play" was chobo and childish, and that we V-Tec players had been doing it for years.

Well our cries of scorn did not go unheard. Spawning from this contempt came a challenge from the BGH community. A SHOWMATCH! It is time to defend the honour of TL.
This showmatch was helpfully put together by Gandalf, borg, and yours truely. The goal is to hunt out and destroy the money mappers who have infiltrated our... intigrate the two communities, and find some fun new people to game with. To that end, we have chosen our TL representatives not on the basis of skill, but as a sampling of our forum members. So, without further ado, here is the match!
Format
The match will consist of two parts, the BGH matches and the low money matches. For BGH, TL will field two 2v2 teams and 2 3v3 teams, each of which will play a bo3. For the low money matches, our 2v2 teams will remain together, while our 2 3v3 teams will split apart and play 6 1v1 games, bo1. Hopefully the players will enjoy themselves enough to keep playing the 1v1's.
Maps
For the BGH games, we will be playing... BGH! Shocking I know.
For the low money 2v2 games, we will use LT and Azalea. For the 1v1 games, RoV, Neo Forte, and LT will be the battle grounds.
The Players
Our 2v2 teams for both BGH and low money will be: - CTStalker and CoralReefer - chiflutz and CubEdIn[SoD]
Our 3v3 BGH teams and 1v1 players will be: - hnr)insane / Cloud / littlechava - smi.Breeze / intrigue / CaucasianAsian
Alternates - HydraRulz - psychosis - Besiger
Replays, analysis, severed heads, and vulture micro will all be availible after the matches. The games will be held at 11am TL time this Sunday. Good Luck and Good Games to all who play!

I'd like to see a line up that goes somewhat like Idra, nightmare, cloud, etc. Not the midians and FAs, but not the empyreans or grandinquisitors either.

i remember a long time ago, some pro dudes did some 2v2s and i think it was boxer and reach vs some other peeps. basically, they just went mass marine+zealot and pwned everything.

Just like what player[craft] says, win or lose, I just want some GG experience ^ ^. TL.Net people are so cool, i've had Gg's and alot of fun playing those TMMs and RWs that Bill,Sacajawea, Testie introduced to me. I hope this becomes a great opportunity for each community to interact ^^.
OH btw, Craft clan is one of the best in BGHs. They are the big deal ^ ^.

To make this fair will they play a 2v2 or 3v3 on a NON bgh map? Us sending nubs over to their side and playing a lame map like BGH is nice and fun and all... but if this is going to be a news why not make it competetive and fair?
To let you guys know, there will be side games going on that aren't "official" games, but will still be friendly showmatchish. I'll be there... for bghers.com, though . I'm ShinSa.ON_FIER, message me for a game, otherwise show up on the day!
And yeah, I know for sure that fedor is gonna spank anyone he plays. He just took on a bunch of ToTs earlier this week.

Sorry mani, in the actual bw world where real games are played and counted towards something we don't call maps like Luna or Rh3 "low money maps" we call them "normal maps." You using a new phrase to describe a genre of maps does not legitimize your assumption that I cannot read.

Yeah I was just trying to be a smart ass to cover up my underreading of the post. truthfully I didnt even read the news just saw no comments about what I was saying. Evidently the lack of comments indicated something OTHER than what I suspected haha.

The team chosen to represent bghers.com consists of very "manner" players. I'm dead sure there wont be any gloating or anything from their (or TL.nets) side IF they win.
However, its possible some dumbasses from either community will reference this showmatch and its results as a valid comparison of the two sides or w/e. We must ignore them!!

Most of the v-tec games nowadays are arranged through AIM first. If you want to get in the loop, I can make that happen. Also, if you hang around Op V-tec long enough, you may be able to catch a game there.
And I think ETT was also a tec player, but thats all i know of on this forum.
Op V-Tec was where I used to play games all the time with MusicMan, Ghetto, ProRevolution and a whole cast of others. This was four years ago. Now it's rare to find two people there (outside of bots). I didn't know games are now arranged through AIM, I'll hit you up on AIM sometime.
i'd like to extend an invitation to all TL who attend tomorrow's showmatch, to not only be there to cheer on your teamates, but also to participate by playing some unscheduled friendly matches against other BGHers who will also be there.
I have prepared a special replay uploader and made it available for everyone, in order to facilitate the collection of replays. Please DO use it for tomorrow's games and let me (fwiffo) know, if you have any suggestions on improving the uploader.

Anyway it was interesting how well this Koolam played in "LOWMONEYMAP" (erm.. sounds ass). But i dont think Testie was playing close his level ^^. You dont need to be sherlock to find it out.
