After the mindless mayhem of the World Cup, MBCGame and OnGameNet have finally managed to conclude their respective Starleagues as well as the first round of this Proleague season. Except from the WCG Qualifiers and the Dual Tournament for the next Shinhan Bank OnGameNet Starleague, it is a rare moment of calm amidst progamers, a time of reflection, preparation, celebration, commiseration and what have you. Browsing around the forums and the main news portals the following slices of gossip and trivia are flying around to temporarily satiate the thirst of the devoted progaming fans. Excuse some of the content for being excruciatingly trivial, I shall make up for it with my crystalline prose.
1) Need something new? Oov!
The SKTelecom T1 manager Ju Hoon has revealed in a recent interview that "Choi Yun-Sung(iloveoov) will do something shocking in the near future." Apparently iloveoov has recently suffered from a lack of interest in the game, and this 'something shocking' will be an attempt to regain his passion for Starcraft.
Obviously there is a great anticipation surrounding this announcement, here are some possibilities:
-A change of race, or even becoming a random user -Change of career to a gaming coach -Marriage -Sex change -Becoming an observer (an observer for the broadcasted games, NOT the Protoss unit.)
Some fans are so skeptical as to simply dismiss it as a passing comment by Ju Hoon, but he adds quite Morpheusly that "when it's time, you will all know."
2) Cowboy Zerg maintains number 1 spot
Cho Yong Ho (Chojja) of KTF MagicNs retains his position at the top of the e-Sports individual rankings for August. This is his second consecutive reign at the top on the back of his two wins in the SKY Proleague and his 9th entry into the next MBCGame Starleague.
Special mentions go to Ma Jae Yoon (Savior) of CJ ENTUS whose victory at the Pringles MSL finals allow him to leapfrog iloveoov to move up to 2nd place, and also to Lee Yun Yeol (NaDa) who has managed to breakout into the top 10 to be ranked 9th for the first time in 7 months.
Nice dog. (I mean the dog, not Tossgirl, no lame puns in my captions)
Last month it was revealed that Lecaf house their own pet dog named "Talgi" ("Strawberry"). Soon enough many progamers have followed the trend. Above is Seo Ji Soo (TossGirl) with her dog "Pony". She says that she spends time with her pet whenever she's not practicing. Ahn Suk Yeol (Siva) of Pantech EX also has a pet malamute. CJ ENTUS currently grow 10 carp in their big fountain in their garden where often team members come out during breaks to feed the fish.
However this is not new as previously it was known that Song Byung Goo (Stork) had a pet squirrel and OnGameNet SPARKYZ during their KOR years had a puppy.
4) Niza crisis at eNature
eNature has effectively removed Jung Young Joo (Niza) from the team, who has disappeared off the premises on the 26th of June and has not been seen ever since. The manager and the coach have tried contact through telephone several times with no success. Such an incident has happened twice before but this time the manager has no choice but to make the decision.
5) The search for the next KTF Manager
KTF MagicNs are currently looking for the next person to fill the management vacancy. Some of the presumed candidates by the fans include retired veterans such as Garimto, Ssamjang and Aozora.
And that's it for now. Initially I was made news admin for a weekly progaming update feature, but it's been hard to find material to write about/translate recently. Hopefully more news and articles will surface as the progaming scene really kicks off again in a couple of weeks for me to provide such a feature regularly. Anyway hope it was a good read.

If there's one player able to play random on progaming level its probably Oov. His biggest problems will be PvZ and ZvZ as his micro isnt top notch, but imagine what a beast he'd be in hardcore macro matchups like PvT, ZvT and ZvP.
I think Oov was #1 with random on gamei back in the days. Or it was top 10 with 3 different accounts for each race.
On another note I think he's just going to change his nick from iloveoov to KingKong.

There is a Kam Dook (which I guess is the manager) and then a Coach (sometimes, there's more than one coach)
Jung Soo Yung was the old Kam Dook that used to hit the KTF players with a baseball bat to help them concentrate, cursed at JinSu and JinNam, kicked Oddysay off the team for skipping practice, ect, ect. Now, there's a guy named Lee Jun Ho (who has been with the MagicNs for a while) that's in the position of Kam Dook.
So, I could understand them wanting to replace Jung, but he's not there anymore.
As for Niza, I remember a long time ago that he left to go back to his home town. I wonder if he did the same this time?
Oh, and the old HanBit team (when Reach, Sync, and Control were still there) had a puppy, too. I don't know what kind it was, but it was white and had those floppy ears. Reach kept it's bed under his desk and Silent_Control always pretended like he was going to eat it -_-;;
A bo3 or bo5 would be awesome if oov were randoming in it. Couple that with some of the new crazy maps (especially the semi-islands), and you get opponents quaking in their boots, not even knowing what race the cheater mode is going to activate in.
If oov got a sex change, he'd be dominating the woman's leagues... is that what he wants? To maintain domination, and since he isnt doing as hot now as he was before... why not tear up the female league?

that's obvious that the only thing he can do is change his race. otherwise there's no need at all for him to have his interest back. Why would he want to be interested by being a coach? There are better coaches than him prolly.
nono, it's official now. he's going to mine 400 minerals each game, build a second cc and fly the original cc somewhere and make the scv dance. then when all eyes are on the dancing gorilla in the studio he'll switch back to zerg, become the new KTF coach and high five reach.
