There is nothing wrong with using a strategy that works (Parting's soul push?). Mvp beat a lot of protosses in GSL with scv pulls and he got praises for it.
We can say the same thing about Innovation's TvT. He won against MvP in the world final by being a better hellbat abuser in the match up. (I'm not downplaying his win, just an analogy ).


Mvp had a reputation for being boring. Then he had a reputation for being cheesy. It's only lately that he's been really charming all the nerd hearts.

That's because now he has a reputation for not having any wrists.

Now that you mention it, he did start gaining in popularity for being consistently good with broken wrists.

reminds me of early nada in 2000

he was clearly the best player in the world by leaps and bounds but people liked the flawed Boxer better (bad bad macro) because he seemed more human

I feel like Nada was more appreciated the more he showed what a freak of nature he was, being a championship winning player for over 8 yaers

There's a mistake in the article, claiming that the last time Bomber reached ro8 was in 2011 which is not the case. In WCS Korea S1 Bomber made ro8 and was defeated by Symbol.
