The only people who would argue with that are the people who didn't really watch pro Broodwar. The top tier of SC2 is essentially a mess. A BO3 between any of the top 100 players in the world is essentially a crapshoot. So true currently the proleague games are not VERY MUCH different from random husky games, when in broodwar, u could be sure that only top 10 players have a chance to beat flash in bo5 (the same for fantasy, bisu, jd...), now u cant be too suprised when no-name white boy (thorzain i.e.) kill top korean pro.

In fairness, the Starcraft II scene looks a lot different than the Brood War scene did (I might also add that M18M, who was hardly ever a top 10 player, beat Flash in a televised game). Unlike in Brood War, the KeSPA players are still playing the catch-up game with the eSF pros who have been playing the game for much longer and have much more experience. On another note, there aren't many "no-name white boys" that can beat Korean pros in Best of 5's. It's incredibly rare.

Well, I was told that current foreign scene is already behind PL in terms of skill . And PL looks, as was said, extremly inconsistent. But I watch korean PL at most. Btw did u guys see Stephano in PL? I was laughing so hard when he took bases, build 20+ spines and just sit whole game till he had 200/200 broodlords. That was so boring and funny ![]()
