Mafia demolished LucifroN 2-0 in the Open bracket and beat both HasuObs and VortiX in TSL qualies while PiG has been in the Prime house for over a month and put up good results vs high level Koreans while he was there. Not saying this means they will replicate this form all the time but maybe do a bit of research and post some of those results for hype, especially seeing that it is a SEA tournament with a lot of local people cheering instead of just shitting on them because you don't have a clue and are too lazy to do anything other than say "SEA is bad" Really smooth guys....

I don't think wax follows the SEA scene, having to write about GSL 4-5 times a week + other foreign tournaments ;o

Don't write a report on it Why so much hate for SEA players? Mafia dismantled your Euro heart throb Lucifron in the open bracket. I hope this tournament shows some of you that SEA talent is stronger than you all think.

It was about being professional and instead of saying "After that there's the three SEA region Zergs who will probably get destroyed" maybe something along the lines of "These guys are lesser known and will have a real fight on their hands to get out of this difficult group against well known international competitors" especially when it's their home server. Sorry for coming across as shitty as i did, i'm just tired

Sorry for coming across as shitty as i did, i'm just tired It's okay, really ;o perfectly valid complaint in my opinion! wax also said this about Mvp last IEM for the open bracket preview http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=360584 The part where I explain why Mvp won't win, against my better instincts With four GSL Championships, (T)LG-IM_Mvp is clearly the best Starcraft II player of all time and a living legend. All those in attendance at IEM Cologne should take care to not even step on his shadow, lest they disrespect him. That said, Mvp is terrible when he's not playing in the GSL. We all saw how limited he was at HomeStoryCup V, where intelligence and experience alone could not overcome a noticeable decline in mechanics. With the pain in his arms preventing him from practicing as much as he'd like, he gets left further and further behind with every day that passes. Also, Mvp despises international air travel, and it's not hard to tell he's in Cologne mainly in order to fulfill sponsor obligations to LG. Mvp is a professional, and he'll tough it out and do his best to perform as long as he's there, but it's unrealistic to expect a great result. and then he won the whole thing, so if it turns out he's wrong and a SEA player wins their group just rub it in face tomorrow ;d

After that there's the three SEA region Zergs who will probably get destroyed you mean the three SEA zergs as in Mafia who 2-0'd LucifroN yesterday, got rank 1 GM on the korean server, and got insane results in every TSL4 qualifier he entered, PiG who got to the semi's in the Code A qualifiers 2 weeks ago and trained in the Prime House for a month and took down mOOnGLaDe in WCS Australia, a player who then went on to have the second best non korean run behind Naniwa at the last MLG??? Show some fucking professionalism, do your research, and stop being so ignorant to amazing players who you are too blind to realise have amazing potential to do well, especially locally. Maybe they might get destoryed, in starcraft anything can happen. But a comment like that in your write up is just stupid, and all you accomplish is pissing off Australians who are already aware of how wrong the rest of the world is with their assumptions on our skill level.

-1 for journalism Blunt truth is, this a small tourney to cover for TL. There aren't any "favorites", so why bother...right? I kinda understand that in the interest of time, everyone just trawls TLPD, but come on teamliquid, we're still part of the community. That's why there's this thing called reporting. There is a real opportunity to get to know "small" SC2 scene that's better known for FXOBoss and FXOUnstable, and you guys missed it. -1 for being the impartial arbiter Yes, we all know Koreans destroy. I'm not gonna deny that MC will probably take this one, but I think you're missing that there could be some really great games in the SEA/local contestants. Taking shit for granted is what scores you -1. -1000 for pissing off SEA fans Oh well. That said, our region has more money and more potential than the flagging economy of the US. That's a fact.
