Its amazing to me that Mvp has won so goddamned much, beaten every player ever, pretty much, and yet somehow he's managed to do it in a way which makes calling him "Bonjwa" seem silly and premature.

How the fuck do you win 5 of the biggest tournament in Starcraft 2 and not be considered dominant? It is a mystery.

Excellent writeup, Mvp going through is something I dared hope for, but did not expect.
Still, I think one of the best moves he did in the series was that, when he wanted to end the game, he sent all his scv's. That bit extra firepower gave him series.

Oh, and life is sooo dead!

They were all scattered over 2 years, and the sheer volume of tournaments (and variability of opponents) in SC2 greatly outweighs its predecessor.

Whoo, exactly as I thought would happen. Life has gotten damn good in the last few weeks, and I didn't think Taeja stood a chance. Would have guess Rain would only get 1 game off MVP though.

Gonna be a good finals.

Protoss hype was short, and it's over now...

Somewhat MvP is the forth race of SC2....he's just a winner!

I wish taeja advanced, since i was cheering for him to win the whole thing, but it's alright since it would be a gomtvt finals otherwise, and i've finally found a zerg who uses aggressive play and mutalisks in every game, which makes life my new favourite zerg.
Life hwating!!!!! First sc2 royal roader!

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Premier_Tournaments_Medalists

14 Top 4 Finishes in "premier" tournaments. 8 golds.

The only one in his neighborhood is MC with 15 Top 4's, but only 4 golds.

People forget how dominate Mvp really is, because he just does it efficiently and quietly.

I am huge Mvp fanboi, but in before the game I felt that loss for the Terran is inevitable. Rain seemed so strong, almost invincible so far in GSL and OSL. Well, Mvp showed up once again, that he is the victor in its pure form. ... I am quite sure, that his victory over Rain was the evidence, that it doesnt matter who is he playing against, because he isnt one of the GSL or KeSPA pack of progamers, HE IS MVP. I am quite excited to see Life as first Royal roader after his performance in this year's GSL, but much more I hope, that Mvp will be able to take fifth championship title. It would make a true legend of him, and that is what he deserves. Became the legend. GoGo Mvp.

he still won so much more than anyone else
i mean MC wins alot aswell but he attends like 3-5 times more tournaments than mvp

mvp has the perfect mix of godly macro, strong micro (i believe there are better players though), an incredible decision making paired with perfectly chosen builds almost in any longer series

and probably best of all: he is capable of playing ANY build to almost perfection - he does a slow paced mech with heavy hellion aggression, a fast paced tank marine, ultra greedy and ultra all in-ish plays like noone else can do it on this level

he never recklessly attacks into ppl unless absolutely certain he can take a fight, he doesn't drop a gazillion marines/marauder into well defended areas like MKP or MMA

thats why he is the most dominant player to play this game and truefully deserves this title before anybody else

mvp's wins aren't often as spectacular like gumiho's or MMA's but for gods sake, he wins because he plays that way and not because he wants to produce clutch games

Mvp games were amazing especially the last game on CK, and I feel terrible for our superhero Taeja. Next time buddy, next time!

Yea i think the series was good aswell, but i felt like i could see both of them player nervously throughout the series..

It's about time we admit it. If he wins this GSL, he's the first SC2 Bonjwa. MVP 4-2 Life.

Life is going to be embarrassed by the King.

MVP is gonna give this kid a spanking that'll send him crying home to his parents.

Is it only me feeling that Taeja did not play to his full potential? Not that he overextended or fucked up a lot, except for the depot, he just got himself into inferior positions all the time and there were several occasions in which a bunch of blings would just roll uncontested up to his third and shit.

I certainly don't underestimate Life, he's great. Saying that he dismantled Taeja sounds like Taeja was playing his best and getting shut down which I don't think is the case, though.

I actually want Life to win.
Not because i like him better, i like both of them. But Mvp is already a living legend in SC2, and i don't mind if he takes a fifth GSL Title, hell i wouldn't mind if he makes it 10 over the next 2 years.
But imagine for a second, everyone is talking about the elephant, rain, the potential royal roader, stomping esf players left and right, steamrolling over the old SC2 world and at the end of the day there we have life, a 15 year old zerg, coming out of "nowhere" (because rain had all the attention) and is the real royal roader. I kinda like that thought.

Life's playstyle is unrelentless, a.k.a. the kind that easily forces errors. From TaeJa's point of view he probably had a harder time playing his best compared to usual solely due to the type of play he was matched against.
