Wow, while I suppose in retrospect this shouldn't surprise me, it does. I'm a little sad to see you go, but thanks for the awesome performances that put a smile on my face, thinking foreigners could do it when things looked grim.

GL Jinro. Im a swede living in japan and i have had so many happy moments watching you in GSL, and you showed extreme discipline in the way you did it, a skill i admire more than anything else.

You were a big influence on me during my studies and when times were tough i gained inspiration, hope and did my best thanks to you. I dont think you will ever know how many people you helped just by going after what you loved, its so awesome.

Life sucks for most of us, and we dont do anything about reaching our goals or anything unless we get a wakeup call or if its really really easy to achieve, you did something quite different and even if you had failed in a big way, you would still not regret it imo.

You should not understate what you did.

Chin up, Jinro. Your accomplishments as a pro SC2 player sets precedence for aspiring gamers and ambitious dreamers. I ask you this: how does it feel to be on the other side of the mountain, to glance down and see the next generation of gamers on that rocky protrusion looking up at the mountain on which you stand? I also hope you can see the shadow of your thirteen year old self and tell him that you did not let him down.

Jinro, it was a pleasure to watch you play Starcraft whether it was through your stream or at tournaments. There was something about watching you, in particular, that always made me want to come back. There wasn't anything about the play, per se, it was about you as a person and wanting to see you do the best you could possibly do. I can't really say that about a lot of players that are in the scene. I do agree with Geoff though in his way of saying "be happy with what you are doing." You have to do what's right by you and no one else, since no one else can live your life for you. I'm glad that you made the right decision for you, and I'm sure that you are going to be happier because of it. With that said, all the best to you in the future and enjoy what life brings to you. Jinro, you amazed us with 2 of the greatest GSL runs of all time (and arguably the best/most exciting foreigner showing in Korea). Hope to see you at a final table on TV in the near future! Good luck and personally, I'll never forget staying up till 5 AM so many nights (mornings?) to watch your games.

I think I'm with Nazgul on this one, unsure whether to be happy for Jinro or sad that we won't get to see him anymore. The only thing that makes me sad is that he decided to not take up a manager/coach position for Liquid, coach Jinro would have been so awesome :D

It looks like Liquid won't be my favorite SC2 team anymore. It seems like these days there are only 3 good players on the team, 2 of them being bought.

Like Jinro my interest in this game isn't what it use to be and now reading this SC2 (and ESPORTS in general) doesn't seem as appealing as it was a year or two ago.

I hope Jinro can truly move on and I wish him all the luck he needs.
