from my experience it is not possible to approach a game with the same enthusiasm again when life has changed in a way that you care for the future and not for the present anymore.
you wont find the hours to spent with a game thats good for nothing, that doesnt bring you food on the table, like you were able to when you were young.
you have a different approach.
gaming is still fun when you are older (and wiser), but you lack the hunger. the older you become the more life focusses on the future. only childs live in the present without thinking of tomorrow.
you play to relax, not to be the best anymore.
thats life, and its not bad.
every phase in life has its own emotions you seek.
and if you get used to certain emotions, you hunger for new. new emotions are more intense, so thats just normal.
and tomorrow the sun will rise again.
every end is a new start.
