I agree that this season of the GSTL seems like a step back. It needs more games. I can't believe that we'll be in the playoffs soon. It seems like barely anything has happened yet.

This is where I believe the core strength and unity of the SC community lies. Picking their favorite teams, cheering your lungs out for them, and celebrating in victory or consoling them in defeat. The adrenaline and excitement in a team formatted league is just out of this world.

I agree with this in every way. The last GSTL season was by far my favorite GSL ticket I have ever purchased. So many games, so much drama and so many players showed their stuff. I still go back and watch those VODS all the time. It's too bad we have this new format, where ZENEX and TSL fans may have already lost interest since their teams were eliminated after 2 series...

I guess one of the reasons for the new format might be that they wanted to make it easier for a foreign team to participate without having to stay in Korea for a very long time.

I really love the GSTL, and this was a great read.
