Didn't Jjakji won the last GSL?

I see Genius taking the set from DRG if he bribes him with bulgogi utilizes the dark arts of ZvP.

Really looking forward to tonight's group, it's quite hard for me to predict. Genius looked fucking sweet in his up and down group, so I am sorta hoping he does well. But then there's poor sC, and EG's JYP, and then of course zerg badass DongRaeGu. Too hard to choose who to root for.

I feel kind of bad for JYP, who is a really creative player but probably the weakest in this group. I'll be surprised if he makes it out, with what are probably MVP's top 3 players up against him.
Mmm...fresh meat.

Perhaps the GSL All Stars event counts as a GSL?

"Still, Gumiho couldn't really lose given what can only be described as a general lack of interest from Yugioh."

LOL!!!!!!!!! What a great writeup! I am most excited for this next group. Not the very best players, but a very interesting combination.

DRG: Very good and probably overrated Zerg player (because people won't STFU about how good he is EVER).
sC: Quite good Terran player who I want to see more of.
Genius: Has been around GSL forever and is interesting to watch.
JYP: Recently joined EG and did very well at HSC.

Zenio massively dissapoints, you can see some sprinkles of Code-S in Zenio, but i don't think he's great at adapting in early games at all, which is where we all know zerg is most vulnerable.

MMA's play today was just very dominant. Some credit must also go to coach Ryu Won, who is the Slayers strategy coach, coming up with strategies that have crushed even players lilke MVP countless times.

You mean this guy? (Z)DongRaeGu

vP: 17-6 (73.91%)

To be fair, JYP's PvZ is good, so I don't think it'll necessarily be as one sided as it could be if it happens, but "ez"? To be honest, there is no-one in this group that should take a super easy victory, though DRG could potentially trounce Genius + sc

One factor working against sc: recent surgery.

One factor working in his favor: zero pressure, esp. since he has a legit excuse for bombing out.

So I think he will play excellently and advance.

It seems like everyone is exaggerating JYP's effectiveness versus Zerg.

JYP did knock DRG out of Code A a few seasons back.

I'm interested to see this group. I'm hoping Genius makes it out and surprises everyone. He looked really strong in his Up & Downs
