Disagree, I live for NesTea jokes. I'm not sure it would have the same effect if they switched to doing it with MVP. Edit: watching the BitByBit vs Moon game, lol I kinda miss BitByBit... | ||

4. Stir the Nestea Last year, Nestea made two finals and won both of them, taking them both decisively by a score of 4-0. I don't think Nestea is done or going to drop off the face of the Earth, but I don't see him making a final in 2012. His performance in the past three GSL tournaments, including the Blizzard Cup, haven't been the best, already falling out of Code S once before getting back in by beating asd in dominating fashion in Code A. It isn't that Nestea is getting worse, but more that the players around him are just getting better. Leenock and DongRaeGu, the two players with the best chance of usurping the God of Zerg in 2012, are looking better and better, improving every tournament they go into, while Nestea hasn't looked the same since his awful loss to Huk in the October edition of Code S. (But I also predicted that TOP would beat MVP in the GSL August Finals, so don't discount the possibility of Nestea winning all five GSL's in 2012.) The addition of the group stages at the round of 16 is going to be very rough on Nestea. He's probably the king of preparing for a single opponent, but his general play is only worthy of code A or low code S. In the past he's had just enough to squeak past 17-32nd players (some of whom didn't deserve their positions) and then go on mighty runs when he could prepare for a single opponent. Unfortunately, now he's gotta go into a second group stage and beat guys in the 9-16 range and I don't think he has it in him. This year, I expect a lot of Ro16 (and some Ro32) exits for Nestea followed by one-sided stomps in code A to get right back into Code S. If he ever goes to the up and downs, he may miss code S the next season. His fundamental game must improve to have success in the new GSL format and foreign tournaments. He's one person that would probably benefit greatly from taking ladder seriously and trying to work his way up to the top of grandmaster. This season, I think he'll prepare hard for ZvZ and completely ignore ZvT. So he should go 2-1 in his group and hit Ro16. | ||

And it's actually more than just 3 maps per person, since the loser can pick the map  but the winner can too I guess, so it's not too bad. | ||
