Now, some people are holding the fact that Lucky used a roach-ling timing heavily in his IPL3 silver medal run against him. I think that's a bit silly, when you could as easily say he is a player who can analyze his opponents and use proper counter-builds to ensure a deep tournament run. I don't hold playing to win against anyone. However, winning in the style he did proves far less in terms of lasting StarCraft ability as far as I'm concerned. Not that he necessarily doesn't have it - obviously you have to be good to take 2nd at a big tournament no matter how you do it - but his play didn't show much except that he can execute a build FXO came up with specifically to beat reactor hellion expands, which were stupidly common in TvZ at the time.

I received quite a shock after losing 0-4 to Stephano in the IPL3 finals, and I practiced a lot of ZvZ after I returned to Korea. At IPL I had beat HayprO and Ret already in the bracket, so I was confident in my mirror-matchup, but I really panicked after going 0-4 to Stephano. If we can play again, I'd like to have some fun games in Korea. I don't think he knew his opponents very well. Haypro is just a level below the rest I think (in comparison to HuK, thorzain, nani, Idra, etc.) and Ret's ZvZ is bad and he hates it (just look at the BiB yesterday).

Love the Lucky interview. There are so many match ups that I want to see. Select, Sase, Nani obviously. Foreigners fighting. JYP/Sase is so hard for me! JYP and SaSe are both so good.

That said, I have nothing against calling certain strats by the name of a player who made it popular, e.g. Stephano style for heavy infestor-ling, which is just a sensible way to be understood among peers. (I wonder if Koreans have a different name for Artosis pylons, or similar things.)
