I think HuK would have gotten even more if it was an auction style and liquid may be more satisfied with the result that way. From what I've heard the number huk is getting is supposedly 187,000$ for around a 1 year contract. I doubt liquid could come close to matching that if they wanted to. Where did you hear that?

its all about the money

HuK noooooo
Awesome guy though, I wish the best for him

Good luck Huk in all your future endeavors. Practice sessions are about to get really dramatic!...and bad mannered

This really stings. I'm still gonna root for huk but only cuz he's a toss hero. Liquid will be just fine - hero is an awesome Protoss for them

Can anyone explain where the fuck does EG get the money from? their webpage must have like 1/1000 visits than TL one, and sponsorwise I don't thinks theres so much difference... They're buying 2 training houses one in US and another in Korea, that's fucking expensive

it would've been enough to just announce it, all this hype stuff is pretty silly

I am sad but congratulations HuK and EG anyway.
However, I am not sure how this new situation will help HuK become a better player. He is trading OGS house including players and coach for a house with only Puma and Idra? I hope there will be more to that...
|
Why is there no message or thank you to Jinro in HuKs letter/message?
Edit: My bad there is a long paragraph with this. I have no idea how I missed that part. Sorry!
|
so, he left the best place to practice starcraft 2 on earth to practice with only 2 guys?
not only that, but I bet he will have to deal with things beyond SC2, unlike in the TL-oGs house where he only had to worry about the game.

This actually made me really sad. What a way to start the day.

GL regardless Huk, my fav foreigner.
No. No they haven't. When's the last time you gave teamliquid money for anything? It's not like there's magical money cloud.

I have to lol man. And every time you take another job or even a promotion that pays better, you're selling out your old supervisor/manager and pooping on your co-workers.
Right.

Just keep bossing it up in Code S k?
GLGLGL!

just realized that this MLG is gonna be huge for idra, since if he finishes top foreigner he would be in code A, and if he wins he'll be in code S. i guess that's why he's not going to IEM, he wants that code S from MLG. puma's in the same boat too, altho i dont remember what code he's in

not sure if this was a bit of a slander or not, but.. the difference for lebron of 5-10 million dollars over 7 years when hes already making 110 million just off of salary alone isnt exactly life changing..
For a progamer with a highly volitile future, even a few thousand can make an extremely large difference...
If TL and EG can go through this process together with little-to-no animosity, neither should any of the fans.. Anyone in the same position would have to do what they feel best for their future, and just hope that people continue to support them in the same way they always have.
It's not like HuK is now eating babies and smashing computer monitors every time he loses a game.

Well that's how EG does their stuff.

HuK used to be so bad. I remember that before Dreamhack people felt he shouldn't even be in Code A. After he starts winning a little he ditches them even though they provided the practice environment he needed to improve. That's exactly how I feel. What's worse is that practising with EG's players will probably bring HuK back to Code B level in half a year or so.
Dont be foolish... he can still play with his old friends.

Going from training in oGs house to EG house is a significant downgrade. Not looking good for Huk in term of practice quality... except he is staying in korea and practicing with IdrA and Puma who are very good players. Not to mention he will still probably practice with the oGs guys from time to time I imagine he will keep his practice partners but you cant really say idra/puma are better than the OGS house =/ You could make the case that Puma is better then any terran in the oGs house. Idra probably better then most zergs in the oGs house since zenio moved out. His PvP might suffer but i would imagine he is still on good terms with MC and inca if he needs to practice PvP what? 1 Puma, someone who failed to qualify for GSL is better than Nada, TOP, Ensnare, SuperNova and TheStC? All Code S regulars? And IdrA's zerg knowledge won't really be as beneficial as he is losing TheWind as a coach.
Nada doesn't live in the oGs house. and Puma is known to be a practice beast. when Flash picks someone as a practice partner you know that they are a good person to pratice with.
Puma also won NASL beating several codes quality players
