I'd love to see a SC2 power rank by region. NA/EU/KR. I realize this site was founded on BW, but it makes me sad that there isn't a SC2 power rank.

MVP is better and Bomber might be Better, but MMA or Nada aren't. MKP was secondplace in WC recently, beating MC 3:2 in an epic comeback. what did MMA or Nada do to deserve this ranks?

A special thanks to Jinro for being a special consultant on these rankings. We mostly ignored his advice. Including his suggestion that he be last place. What? Last place? No way. You'll get over the slump Jinro, we believe in you!

The top three are in a league of their own. All three hold two titles. NesTea is currently on a tear and just swept the last Code S, so he's first. MC would be 2nd because he might have faltered, but he never went down to Code A and has been wracking up victories outside Korea. MVP for 3rd; in Code A, but still would pick him over the people below him in a Best of 5. MarineKing is a great player, but still hasn't been able to get over his nerves. He seems to choke whenever all the pressure is on him. Doesn't matter if it's a final or an ace match in the team league, he seems to just lose it and play differently than usual. Still would rank him there because he's shown consistently that he could win the tournament with stronger confidence. Bomber could be #4, but hasn't done crap in Code S yet. He also has said to have nerves, a reason why it took him forever to appear in GSL, but he got in finally and STOMPED Code A. I think he might be the second best player currently in the world behind NesTea, but he still needs to prove himself in the spotlight. This is his coming out party. He could have a date with NesTea in the Ro32; which, in my mind, could mean the whole tournament. Nada/July are the old guard. Nada always ends up in the Top 8. July was in the finals not too long ago and has the experience to make it very deep. Would not be shocked if either of these made it to the finals. Losaira, MMA and Alicia are the new young guns of their respective races. Losaira and Alica showed last Code S that they both could be challenging for a title really soon, and MMA has proved in the GSTL that he has the talent to beat anyone in the world. It might be this season or a few from now, but I think these three could come and take the places of the current Big 3 (NesTea, MC, MVP) in the GSL scene. Notables: SC. I was debating putting him in the 10th spot over Alicia, but I think Alica, in the Slayers house, has a better chance of improving alongside people like Boxer, MMA, Ryung, etc than SC who is stuck on a team that is currently on a down turn except for him. Still an incredible player who could very well make the final. Great article by the way. Always wanted to do a big Power Rankings of the current GSL combatants, but never could decide past the top fifteen or so. Would love to see more! I would still have sC over Alicia, probably higher than July, Losira and MMA aswell. What you say about the practice might come into play down the line but for current form sC should easily be top 10.

Nada has been more consistent than Bomber but I don't really get the feeling of Nada dominating someone like I do with the other 3 Terrans in the top5. I'd place Losira on #9 and replace MMA with SC though!

Imo, I think HuK is still a little too high up. HuK is a good player, there is no denying that, but his strategies are usually quite risky. I think he needs to get serious and get a lot of training in with long, standard strategys. To me it seems like HuK is in Competitive SC2 for the fun, but if he really wants to get great tournament results, he need to be serious.

He ain't got anything on MC, MVP gets highly erratic results and his play lately has been fairly questionable at times. highly erratic like winning WC and placing 2nd in code A? Nestea is good, but he actually had a very easy road besides sC Inca has got to be the most undeserving finalist since Rain, and he BARELY beat Rain in a game where Rain 100% should have won and Nada over marineking is a complete joke

I definitely think there are some Bite-Sized and Ice Cream tier people that are mixed up though... Moon is way, WAY better than his last official GSL appearance. I was heartbroken when he lost yesterday, he really could have done well, just couldn't quite get that ace match. Boxer is improving every week. He's doing very well in NASL Lyn had 1 bad group play and then ran into the worst Up/Down groupings in GSL history. He's not great, but I think he can still improve. TheBest and Choya are much worse than where you have them. TheWind is better than that. Ensnare is barely better than Hyperdub. They're just like HongUn/anypro for me. Not even as good as the 2 of them though. RainBOw is not that good. He's not terrible, but he's not "Ice Cream" tier. Maka is not ice cream tier. At all. Neither is Yugioh. Leenock hasn't been good since he got tricked by LiveForever in the January Up/Downs. 3:30 minutes in. Even Tastetosis missed that the depot was purposely left down. Squirtle, Ace, Min, Byun, GanZi, Zenio, HuK even San all possibly are in the right tier, but I would really like to see more from them in GSL singles leagues. I'm not sold that they've evened out where they will stay yet (some will drop, some may move higher).
