Sure, he is a good player, but its been some time, since he won anything big, hasnt it? And anyway, in my opinion if you dont have a good personality, i dont really care about the performence...

Lots of players haven't won anything big in some time and they still get support, not just idra

I've often wondered the same thing and came to the conclusion that its because he's an American pro level player that has a cocky attitude. He ragequits and BM's like crazy and people love/hate him for the same exact reasons. As long as his attitude doesn't change, neither will his fame. I truely think he's "known" more for his childish attitude than his performance.

And anyway, in my opinion if you dont have a good personality, i dont really care about the performence... The reason why he hasn't won anything that big is because he's been in Korea for almost 3 years where he was basically one of the most consistent people in the GSL. And considering that he's a foreigner and he did that, I consider that a huge accomplishment. Like TLO said, you should respect those players that can constantly perform well because it shows that they have that they actually have skill and not just luck. For Idra to be in Code S all that time and be consistently moving up (Ro 32->Ro 16->Ro 8), that shows amazing consistency and skill. And for his personality, I could care less as long as he shows remarkable skill to counteract his bm. He said himself that he hates just mindless empty conversation that people just have. Like saying gl hf and gg mean nothing to him because he knows it's just a shallow thing a person does before and after a game. On top of that, his bm shows his dedication to the game. He is so dedicated to the game that he gets angry about it and I respect that. Lol sorry for the rant, I'm just an Idra fan :D

IdrA is on tilt soooo bad after game 2, he visibly freaked out before he left game 3. He might even try 6 pool or something.

I will still root for Huk though, he is a fellow canadian who play protoss like me. He gets points there for me on top of being good enough to be code S ![]()

He is so dedicated to the game that he gets angry about it and I respect that. Lol sorry for the rant, I'm just an Idra fan :D I'm not talking about him not "gl , hf , gg" -ing. What i mean are the things he says between games, where not many people are watching. Those kind of things you saw on crunchers pic, or what was shown here before. Sure, its fine if you are angry after losing a game, and dont feel like saying "gg", that may show your dedication, but i dont think saying things like "fuck off" can be compared to that. Thats on a completly other level, IMO. Dont get me wrong, i dont expect him to change, neither do i think he will, i'm just stating my surprise that people root for someone who basically says "fuck off" everytime he loses a game. Because its not his enemies fault that he overdroned again and does not have a sufficient army. And that is something i have observed many times in his games, people flaming the winner ,saying things like "he only won because he used a timing push / cheese, normally idra would win by a landslide" .... yeah right, if "normally" for you is letting the zerg macro up until he feels like attacking you head on you might be right, but its only obvious that a race that is damn strong at that point in the game, will just be taken out before that. Nothing cheesy or unfair / unjust about it, but many idra-fans seem to think that way...
