Ps. It was not my intention to sound rude or offensive. I just find a bit odd that these games which clearly was very entertaining get one line and some pathetic standard game that ends in marine/medic/tank/vessel after 15 minutes gets 30 lines. | ||

yellow actually had a shot in game 1 on pellennor ever, although he clearly was at a disadvantage from boxer's devastating scv rush. if i recall the game correctly, when boxer came in with the rush, yellow cancelled his hatch right before it finished (and boxer correspondingly also cancelled his bunker almost simultaneously). boxer then went a fast acad build and retreated back home and started massing m and m. yellow went *3 hatch*, taking his gas expo. this is where i think yellow could have just decided to get faster lurker out of 2 hatch, so he could actually play more aggressively. i suppose this decision of yellow was partly because of the map imbalance (as it's too easy for zerg to get pinned in if terran takes that cliff area where the gas expo is). but in any case, as yellow went a very hungry 3 hatch, boxer massed m and m outside yellow's base and teched to tank/vessel. yellow went lurker and boxer very importantly made a wraith from his port which really was a thorn in yellow's side-- not only hunting overlords, but forcing yellow to cancel a morphing lurker as well and demanding more micro from yellow. In the meantime boxer set up shop outside yellow's choke with m&m/tank, slowly building turret/bunker to solidify that position. yellow could have tried to research drop but instead chose to try to break the gauntlet with link/lurk from three different directions. but ~ 6 lurk/20 ling vs. 2 well-placed bunkers, turrets, 3~4 tanks, and at least 1 control group of m&m meant that he failed to break boxer's hold on his choke, and yellow's subsequent attempt around 45 seconds later with around 12 lings and 5 lurks was also a failure. that's when yellow gg'ed. i think yellow had a few opportunities to win or at least extend the game further-- i personally think it was a big mistake to take his gas natural before getting lurkers, and also to try to force his way out of his base through a pretty much invincible tank/bunker/turret/m&m line instead of researching ovie drop/speed. but of course, it's easier said than done and hindsight is 20/20 ;P | ||
