The third TeamSpeak TeamLiquid SC2 Open (and #6 overall) runs this Saturday, Dec 11 2:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). This tournament will have a $200 prize pool and will be be held on the EU Battle.net server. The semifinals and finals will be casted by Incontrol and Orb.
As with the previous TL SC2 Opens, we will be opening registration early for professional players. Please only register if you plan on attending. If you feel you qualify for early registration, PM me to see if you qualify. As a general rule, if you are not prominently listed in the SC2 International TLPD, you will not qualify for early registration.
The TL Open is open to anyone with a EU StarCraft 2 account. Past TL Open winners include Select, AhhBoxxah, Nerchio, and Drewbie. If you missed some of those matches, check out TL's YouTube Channel for the previous casts, including the first TeamSpeak TL SC2 Open.
This will be the third of 12 TL Open tournaments sponsored by TeamSpeak, who have also provided us with a TeamSpeak 3 server for the community to use. The initial TeamSpeak TL SC2 Open Series announcement can be found here, and includes some words from TeamSpeak's Peter Kirk.
Registration will open at Thursday, Dec 09 7:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). Previous TL Open events have always had plenty of room even if the 512 confirmed spots are taken - if you sign up for the waiting list and check-in early, you are pretty much guaranteed to get in. The time is more for EU players, as we aren't expecting many US players to have EU accounts.

I can see where it gets confusing, I've changed the OP to make it more clear. The time of tournament start is 9am EST but the cast will start ~1 PM EST for final four.

I'm a bit confused about the times. When looking at the registration page the registration-time is 10:30 am KST = 2:30 am EST. However the news has 2 pm EST as the start of the tournament. I think the error is in the news since 9 pm EST(us) is 3 pm EST(eu)!

I mean the Scream for these map from the comunity is huge! would be a nice place to start with the custom map pool?

I really don't understand why TL would allow/want Orb to cast a tournament, having watched his stream numerous times in the past he really comes accross as a foul mouthed and spiteful child; ranting in a really nasty manner at both his viewership and opponents. Just doesnt strike as the kind of person TL would want as a voice.

He has casted several earlier TL Opens and we felt he did a good job there with none of the behavior you described. Also, we believe Orb and Incontrol will make a great caster pairing.

Well I will admit I have not seen him cast anything outside of his own stream before so maybe he is more mature when not playing himself. I guess I'll give him the benefit of the doubt before judging.

I registred even though I'm just top Bronze League (hopefully Silver soon ). I guess as long as I try my best I will at least be some kind of warmup or confidence booster for someone. :D

i gotta say the page is really good, the organisation of the whole tournament, check-in and log-in are quite good and pretty easy (unlike some other tournaments, *wink* esl *wink*).
