This was another really nice article from the Liquipedia staff! Since it was sort of meant to serve as a template for others to create Liquipedia pages, I think it did a great job breaking down how each of the sections should be structured and what they should contain. It really does a lot to show the TeamLiquid community how to make a Liquipedia page, and hopefully it will be really effective. I personally don't have a very intimate knowledge of any professionals or tournaments, but I'd be happy to contribute in any way that I possibly can. Liquidpedia is an amazing idea, but it will only ever be as strong as the TeamLiquid community is committed to making it now that StarCraft 2 is blowing up and there is too much for a small staff to adequately keep up with.
Also, please stop bashing on MorroW (this is only at a couple of the posters on this thread). He played extremely well throughout the entire IEM tournament, was very humble, and did nothing wrong. Terran may be slightly overpowered at this moment in time, but he has been playing as them since the Beta started, so he's certainly not a band-wagoner. Also, frankly, there was literally 2-1 odds that a Terran was going to win the tournament over having a Protoss or Zerg winner, simply because of the number of Terrans that were invited to IEM, relative to the rest of the races.
Finally, in my honest opinion, there is no way that IdrA threw that tournament. Don't get me wrong, IdrA is an amazing player who could very well be the best in the world (? - certainly one of the best without a doubt), but for the finals, he simply got outplayed. He was dominant throughout the rest of the tournament, and he's too competitive to make himself a martyr of Terran imbalance in an attempt to sway Blizzard (which simply wouldn't have made any difference, frankly). MorroW played fantastically, with few mistakes, and IdrA made some silly ones that are below his usual skill level. If I had to guess, I would suspect that his rage got to him and he started tilting, but I obviously don't know. To recap, get off MorroW's back - he played wonderfully and truly deserved to win that tournament.

Fantastic play from Morrow actually defeating all the three big names I was expecting to win this tournament (TLO -> Dimaga -> Idra)..hope to see more of him in the near future!
Also keep a lookout for Sarens, his games against Idra were phenomenal, he could easily have gotten the win there!
Better luck next time for the protoss players

Nice write up and congrats to Morrow for his performance in the entire tourney. I'm still wondering what was up with IdrA making very uncharacteristic mistakes in that Blistering Sands game.

Awesome write up. LoL at the complaining about 5 racks. I'm just glad IdrA got beat. Is it just me or is he a really sore loser sometimes?

I like this guy, he seems nice. Congratulations
I've had so many people try to use early Reapers on me now... Not as easy as it looks, apparently. Usually they either lose a ton of their units to lings/roaches or they micro properly and don't macro. I haven't found it to be too much trouble yet.
They always say, the good ones make it look easy. Looking forward to watching more of his matches. Great openings and usually has a good follow-through.

So proud somebody quoted my article from liquipedia.

the most impressive thing was the mind game he played with idra in game 4. idra was so sure morrow was going the 3 rax reaper opening again but morrow hid his aces and by the time idra found out, it was too late. sign of a great player.

GG Morrow, you played well and WON the games, everyone flaming you are just upset cuz thier "golden boy" lost. I appreciate the fact that you weren't even supposed to be in this tournament and still won it
|
It's clear that Idra lost because he was outplayed, in both mind games and macro (game three oh my god what an epic epic game) Morrow had such excellent control, and Idra just seemed to tilt after the start of game 3. Started dropping macro and it just let Morrow walk all over that game. I don't think it shows any imbalance whatsoever. Just a better player on the day.

HAHAHA, I love this!
I just read through the biography, the thing that makes me most happy about him winning the tournament is that he was a stand in! Those games were really magnificent and just really well executed. I love that the "17th" invitation won the tournament, certainly my favorite story of pro Starcraft 2 tournaments thus far. Such an awesome tournament and a fantastic finish, Morrow has a new fan.

no protoss players advanced! makes me sad. what's the explanation?

Only 3 were invited and I think HuK and WhiteRa were quite off their game. They'll do better next time =)

Congrats but for me it was possibly the worst series I've watched in a long time

Pretty great tourney. Grats to Morrow. I imagine either some metagame changes or balancing is gonna be done on reapers? I'm not one to cry wolf, but there were a lot of reapers in this tournament. Seeing so much of one opening that has such a big effect on the mid-game transition is disconcerting. Maybe not imbalanced...just could see it getting a little boring.
Reduce building damage some. flame-on.

Amazing write up! Good details and it seems you already impressed a member of MLG. Congrats TL and Big ups to MorroW!

Excellent, apart from the extremly unprofessional interviews and that "Dennis" guy I believe, these people were horrible to watch because they just seemed so cluesless... "ahm ye ah ye so how do you feel eh?" jesus...
But BIG BIG GG to Morrow

Just watched Morrow vs Idra final, and well all I can say is that I was hoping for entertaining and exciting games. Unfortunately, that "5-rax reaper build every game" was far from enjoyable. All in all, good tournament, GG Morrow but in my opinion it was a very disappointing final.
